If I'm having mana troubles, I'll almost always drop consecration in favour of resealing / divine plea / exorcism / HoW. Otherwise HotR gets dropped (for single target).

One thing I'd really like to see, and this is probably the wrong forum for it, is a general response to "Am I geared enough for X?" threads. These annoy me for multiple reasons, including that one person in the group's gear is not a sufficient measure for the likely success, X often encompasses instances with 10+ encounters, or worse, multiple instances totalling 50+ encounters (ie "heroics").

They fail to account for the fact that for 98% of the content in the game at the moment, gear is simply a substitute for skill / ability. A skilled group could quite easily complete all heroics, Naxx, Sarth + 2 drakes, VoA, and depending on composition even Maly (although dealing with breaths would be tricky, you'd need CD rotations like for Sarth+3), in full greens.

The better the gear of the group, the more slack there is for bad play, mistakes, slow reactions, incorrect rotations, etc. The numbers on your armoury profile are MEANINGLESS because there's no way to assess a player's skill from reading their post. A healer could have 40,000 spell power, and their group would still wipe on KT if they weren't able to react quickly enough to iceblocks.

The other thing it fails to account for, is how geared / skilled the REST of the group is. You don't solo heroics / raids, and it doesn't matter how little damage you take, if your healers have no regen and low SP, and your DPS are using Amphitheatre of Anguise quest rewards, then Saph will likely wipe you. The better the gear of your healers and DPS, the lower the requirements for your gear. The first time I did Naxx, I was still crittable, but my healers were able to handle it (Maex took a couple of attempts Razz). If you're going in with a well-established group, you'll need much less gear than if you're going in with fresh 80s.

Then there are people asking stuff like if they're geared enough for "Naxx", or "Heroics". Are you talking about Anub, Faerlina, Noth, Heigan, Razuvious and Gothik? Or are you talking about Patchwerk, Maex, Loatheb, Saph and KT? Are you talking about H UK or H HoL?

Honestly, the question is impossible to answer, and it infuriates me every time someone asks. The only way a person can know for sure, is to actually get in there and give it a try.

/end rant

540 defense = you can tank all heroics and 10 mans
25k buffed hp = you can tank patchwerk aka all 25 mans(Except Malygos 25 and Sarth+drakes)

In a standard 96969 rotation, ShoR doesn't always follow Judgement in such a way as to gain the benefit of the Libram of Obstruction.

In the cases that you have said Libram, would there not be a benefit to occasionally substitute, say, Exorcism (if possible) in key places so as to line those two spells up?

I'm genuinely asking. I haven't looked into it. If the answer is "no", so be it.

heres my trick not to go oom too if it looks like i might. Sit down while tanking trash Its an insta crit and its insta mana. It might piss off ur healers but shit if ur full on health and empty on mana something wrong so fix it. I just find the tauren in the raid thats mellee and sit down inside of him. Used to do it in MH and BT and i sometimes need to do it in heroics. Also if raiding and using more then one tank taunt all the shit off the other tank and oops ur taking more dmg. Your healers shoul be good enough to keep u alive while u regen mana
