Titansteel Helm pwns Mote Finders. ENGINEERS UNITE!

Yep, its official, ENGINEERING IS USELESS.

A fresh engineer will now never know the love of wearing his goggles due to the fact that Titansteel helm would tide a tankadin over till 25mans replace them.

Dont even argue about the expertise you get, glyph for corruption and its worthless compared to getting 50 more stamina, sure you lose a little bit of defense, but its still a bigger buff, if you combine the stats together.

All in all, what do we do with engineering? Farm motes? Make guns that are BOE? Make a freaking motorcycle that ANYONE can buy and doesnt even have any gadgets or speed increases?

Rant here my friends, what do you want engineering to be?

For myself, its either:

a) Massive goggle upgrade, enough to tide over later content, has an activation ability or 'equip' ability that procs according to whichever class you're using.

b) Let goggles always work like how they have been, but change the trinkets you get to tinker onto your trinket, like attaching a sonic booster onto it or noise machine onto the other trinket. Hence your trinket will still have its innate ability to do its own thing, but your tinker onto the trinket will add stats and an 'on chance' equip ability, basically like how sonic booster and noise machine works.

And another thing, LET THE CURRENT TINKERS WORK ON THE SLOTS PROVIDED DAMMIT. If Blacksmithing can put sockets onto a slot with enchanting, why cant we? Our tinkers are only somewhat useful, not even that great, so having them put on would give us at least a measure of current comfort.

Im peeved.. Stupid blizz making engineering stupid.

In what way is this thread a gear discussion/guide? Not that i disagree with your opinion, but still it sounds more like a whining post and i'm unsure if it fits in this place.

Engineering has toys for PVP, but it's not the PVE min-maxers profession it was in TBC. Still it's better than it was in Classic.

All in all, if you don't like it, reroll your profession, it's what I've done.

P.S. This is not your blog.

Ok to clear a few things up,

1/ Engineering although currently underpowered is far from being useless - Mote extractor, Roflcoptor, Gear Add ons, Repair Bots, Arrows, Bullets, Bombs and Guns. It isn't the 'power' it was in TBC but it is a profession based around 'fun' things so I don't know why people expect it to be cutting edge end game quality for items. It is for blowing stuff up! We all know it needs some love from the dev team but ranting here isn not going to make that happen.

2/ I intend to keep my Goggles, I like how they look, you can get them at level 72 so they are certainly not 'useless'. They are an item which looks good at 8 levels below the BS helm.

3/ I don't accept any form of ranting from anyone in this forum. No matter who they are.

If you are upset, then post in the frustrations thread or change your profession. Ranting is not an acceptable posting style in this forum. If you wish to discuss this further please PM me.

I never bothered with the new tank goggles, mainly because I got engineering to about 420eng when Thane's Tainted Greathelm dropped for me(Gluth was a good puppy that day)

I still won't give up engineering, if for nothing else but MOLLE, repair bots(or scrapbot now), and the free gold motes are

They buffed MOLLE by the way. 8 hour cooldown (was 24), 10 minute uptime (was 5). I also like my Sonic Booster.

No one has ever said to me (even in a fPUG), Sorry you can't this because you're an Engineer. We need a JC/LW/BS tank for this.

So I don't see the point in putting the time and money into rolling something else. I've already been through the Enginneering --> Something else --> Engineering run before.
