i made a similar list for the tanks in my wotlk guild. I tried to apply the received stamina, avoidance and threat, but since those stats are depending on the class that ended up in a not-that-readable mess (esp. for dks.. 3 different tanking specs -> *puke*).

The second tank-ish JC trinket is missing from that list. The Ruby Hare i believe it's called (cant see wowhead from work). No real defensive stats but a buttload of stamina can be socketed into it

Most interesting thing about shields so far: There's only a 600 armor difference between the level 80 blue shields and the best level 80 epic shield so far, whereas there was about 1000 between the best 70 blue shields and the SoID from Nightbane and another 400 on top of that for the ALD from Gruul.

I didn't see the crafted Cobalt blacksmithing BoE set listed...

The Cobalt blacksmithing set is BoE and looks to have fairly easy to acquire mats, much like the Felsteel set in BC.

P.S. How do I do nifty item links in the post? I did a search and couldn't find it...

As long as you have the [ url = (insert wowhead link here) ] (item name here) [ / url ] thing, it will automatically display the tooltip for you, if that's what you're asking. There's some code added (to the css? I think) that allows it to do that.

Either way, I'll go update my list of tanking weapons and shields if it needs it.

Edit: No changes to wowhead's database yet.

good the know that a decent number of the best in slot pre-raid items are also pre-heroics.

i do wonder though, what is the difference of the emblems of valor and heroism? i'll assume that the heroism emblems are from heroic bosses like badges are now, but valor?

gear seems to actually be the easy part to decide on now as opposed to before, and now choosing my gems and enchants are goign to be a lot harder to prioritize. i'm thinking i'll ge gathering as much strength and defense as i can muster. load up on avoidance and BV so the few hits that go through won't hurt nearly as bad.

For the emblems, I believe one is for heroics and 10-mans but the other is for 25-mans.
There are 10 and 25-man versions of the new raids, but the rewards are different for each.
