Agreed. I really can't understand how any paladin can raid without this mod (or at least SOME kinda of buff management addon), or why they would even try.

One person this board (can't remember who it was) insisted that if somebody in their raid had to use a mod to buff people, they were too stupid to be in their raid and were not welcome. Was an... ahhh.. interesting approach.

I would never go so far as to boot people from the raid... What I usually do is split up the buffs nicely with the pallys that have it and then make the person without pally power do Kings on the entire raid so he has to blow the most symbols lol.

Re: PallyPower

The unfriendly part of it, or rather what I have been unable to get working properly, is casting Greater Blessings whilst in combat. Generally when someone gets battle-ressed, I would like to be able to just tap the button quickly and get the buff over with without swapping targets or wasting time. Whenever I´m in combat however, every single class button locks down. If I want to buff someone at that point I have to mouse-over the class, bring up the player and right-click it to do a 10 minute buff.

I realize that it isn´t a big issue, and single-targeting the buff doesn´t take me all that much longer, but it´s still annoying. It´s not like casting a Great Blessing requires you to be out of combat, so I can´t see why the author would lock it down in the first place.

My biggest grief with PP is that the bloody expanded player-tab doesn´t go away. Ever. It might have been updated at some point, but I gave up keeping track of it. Now I just mouse-over warriors (top of the list) to get it as far out of the way as possible.

Wishlist:
- Customizable rows / buttons (being able to take one and one class, and put it for example on your regular bars)
- Retractable list (I don´t want to see every single class all the time). It might exist / work, but not on mine.
- Gorramn Greater Blessings whilst in combat.

Note that if any of the stuff I QQ about has been fixed, or if I just don´t know how to use PP properly, please tell me.

Re: PallyPower

Do you have blessings set for all the classes? It won't show a class button unless you have a blessing set for them, and even then it shouldn't if they're not grouped with you.

How long has it been since you updated? All of that QQ is irrelevant in newer versions, as far as I know. :p

It only shows the relevant buttons under those conditions. I´d still like to not see them all the time. For example shift-click the cast-button to show/hide all classes. (Or even better, as presented in the wish-list, give some customization-options for layout and placement of each class-button according to the others)

Around the release of Ulduar. Had to revamp my UI because everything broke, so it should be fresh.. ish. I´ll update PP and come back with more QQ if the shit doesn´t work this evening :)

Re: PallyPower

You have to use a specific character's button if you want to buff someone during combat. Blizzard doesn't allow addons to select their target themselves in combat.

That explains a bit, thanks.

Re: PallyPower

There's an auto-hide option somewhere for the class buttons. It hides when you're not over the auto-buff or any class button and it shows when you hover over the auto-buff button.

Re: PallyPower

Autohide feature? now I'm going to have to go digging for that.

You should actually make him bless Might or Wisdom, depending on your having a DPS warrior or a shaman in the raid ;) This would make him waste symbols ^^

Automatic buffing in combat does not work because Blizzard does not allow this kind of functionality. Only 'secure' buttons are able to cast spells in combat and their attributes (spell target and spell name) can be modified out of combat only. It is still possible for PallyPower to rebuff a person in combat using class buttons, as long as the person who was targeted by the button on the previous cast is in buff range. If that person is out of range or if you want to rebuff a specific person with a short buff, you have to use player buttons to target them.

Most likely you're using 3.0.22 version or older. All popup button issues were resolved in 3.1.x version.

- Customizable layouts are in progress, see b3.2.1 version. While it is not possible to move PP button and place it on a regular buff bar, it is possible to create absolutely ANY layout. Even a layout with class buttons stacked diagonally across the screen
- Retractable list (aka Auto-Hide Class Buttons) been there for months. You probably did not read the change log.
- Explained why it is like it is

Re: PallyPower

imho ZOMGBuffs is way better to manage blessings/seals/RF/Holy Shield/Auras, etc etc
once you figure out how to configure it of course

Re: PallyPower

amh, I am running 3.1.15 and it seems really stable and should address at least most of your concerns. You might check it out and see.
