For me, there's nothing better than "Ghost: Pulse" to watch over your CDs.
As soon as a skill is ready, it will display the skill icon's in the middle of the screen, for the duration that you chose. you can also change the warning size, filter wich skills you wanna see or not, and many more... Give it a try, it's really helpful.
Since i installed it, i've never use a macro or something to help me in the skills timing
