Threat and Mana gen

searched the forum for a thread about that, and haven't found it.

strangely, i wanted to knew why tanks can aggro the embers (al'ar) and murlocs ( morogrim).
looking where and somwhere else, i came out i forgot the Power Generation Threat.
well, that's listed on wowwiki to be 1threat each 1mana/1rage/1energy gained.
so when MTing a boss, when mana is always 100%, could be worthing to spam RF in free GCDs to get a bit more threat (if 700mana = 700threat, it IS something).
YOU generate the mana (and so the threat) not the healer whos healing you, i'm sure.
anyone can confirm / deny that? don't wanna waste days at testing, if someone else done that Wink

I don't understand the statements or questions . . .
I can't see any point to truly wasting mana on any spell that doesn't do damage or help us avoid it.
If you are MT on one of those bosses, someone else is tanking the "adds" anyway. If you're the one tanking adds and have good gear, you definitely don't have infinite mana to go around wasting some.
If you're bored between waves and feel like you have mana to waste, heal someone or damage the boss . . .

the aim of "wasting mana" is get Mana generation off Spiritual Attunement, an so tps.
when you get 2-3 healers focusing only on you, prolly you're taking more than enough dmg to be at 100% mana 90%+ of the time.
an exemple of when it's useful, it's like Al'Ar embers, when you're tanking 5-6, you got mana to waste and can't damage them (or they'll explode)

Well

If you aren't mana starved (or at least mana-budgeted) tanking the adds, you will be when you gear up more. If the adds are so low they will blow up if you do things to hold threat on them, that's the fault of the melee or dps team that's bringing them down and should be adjusted.
