What changes should I make to my spec?

I think I am going ok gear wise, I have 2 JCer only gems to throw into it ... and I am thinking +27 Def ones for more room to move...

However I am not convinced with my spec, as a guild we have cleared Naxx 10man and about to start 25man content.

I am at work so I cant link armory, however I am on Proudmoore ... Míshakal (copy and paste my name, I was silly and have a special character in there).

Only thing I need to make sure is that I bring Kings, we dont have a regular raiding ret ... and the holy paladins would cry and one is my guild leader she may gkick me (well she wouldn't) .. but I am best palced to bring kings.

I think I got all the MT talents, however with the spares they sort of went all over the place ... I am sure I have reasons for taking them.

Any advice for changes to my spec would be great. (With reasons please)

Also any gear advise wouldnt go to waste.

Thanks .....

0/58/13

Core talents would be 0/53/6

5 Points I usually prefer in either Gaurdian's Favor/Improved Hammer of Justice or Kings, depending on raid comp.

5/5 Deflection 1/2 Judgement are the 6 core talents in retribution, I prefer 3/3 Heart of the Crusader and 2/2 Might for more buffs to melee dps and 3% increased crit for the rest of the group and PoJ is nice buff to our run speed.. since we don't have a real "gap closer" and the 50% reduction in disarm is nice as well.

byw, I'd recommend checking out the stickies in the talent spec forum, they go over the basic spec options.

You want this build:

You do have the option of taking 7 points out of Ret, putting 5 in Seals of the Pure (from Holy) and then 2 wherever in Prot, but I'm a PoJ fanboi myself.

It's just too handy to be able to move fast to pick up loose mobs, and to get out of AOEs and all manner of other useful things.

If I don't have PoJ, I feel sluggish and unresponsive. That's never fun. For my money, the spec above is the best there is. Using your hare trinket is not really an option in most encounters -- you need you trinket slot doing something for your tanking!

PoJ is one of those talents that you won't appreciate until you get it. It makes the whole game better imo.

Granted I am I full on keybind using maniac having been raised on FPS games and the like, it is in no way necessary to use key binds to be massively successful at this game.

My guildleader clicks every button manually. He also happens to be the best Mage I've ever played with. Now that his main is a resto druid, he's also the best resto druid I've ever played with.

I am slow as hell at manually clicking because I'm used to using binds for everything, but I mouse click my 969 rotation sometimes while eating with one hand mid raid and trust me, it's not any slower. You have 1.5 seconds in between every ability to move your mouse. It's not exactly hard.

Of course you can execute a simple rotation. The point is that you have other things to be doing with your mouse and your eyes than clicking buttons and watching your cursor click buttons. There are a number of actions which are physically impossible for a clicker and perfectly fluid for anyone else. It's most apparent for a tank or melee who are constantly moving and in PvP as any class. Raid healers can often get away with it if they have a thoroughly adapted clique UI, and mages in raids have about 2 buttons to push.
