Leotheras WWS report?

Side note: This should probably be in the gear/advice forum.

What you're looking at:

Top section is what you did.
Middle section is what heals you received that counted as self-heals and any heals that you did.
Bottom section is what damage you took.

You can click on bars in any section to expand them and get a more detailed view of anything.

Note that crits are -not- shown on the single character split pages. Number of hits is just that -- hits.

Things you'll want to look at:
Number of hits (from the bottom, physical) versus number of times holy shield charges were used (from the top). The numbers should be somewhat similar -- they will not be the same. Hits from demons count here too.
Number of crushing blows (from the bottom, expand physical).
% damage that was mitigated and missed. There might be hard numbers on what you want here somewhere, but in general "too much" is when you keep going oom and "too little" is when you are difficult to heal. For a rough guide, compare against other tanks in your guild and/or WWS of similarly geared guilds for the same boss. These numbers will vary quite a bit according to what you are tanking.

Useful information when you die:
There will be a line above the first box of data that says something like 1 Death: 22:58 (or another timestamp). Click on that and look over the replay of your death.
You'll want to check what damage you took (pay attention to the timestamps on the left) and what heals you got. You'll want to check that you weren't taking avoidable environmental damage, that you weren't taking an abnormal number of hits (possibly dps in front of the boss), that you didn't get crushed, and that your healers were on the ball and healing you within a reasonable amount of time.
Note that at the top of the death replay there is a line listing who died in the previous 5 minutes. If you have a lot of people listed there, you need to look at their deaths as well to see why they died. If it was something like them dying to demons, that needs to get fixed. If it was something like dying to Leo after a whirlwind it gets trickier -- either they're doing dps when they shouldn't (including dots) or the tank needs to be picking him up faster. Sometimes you will have abilities resisted, it happens, but it should not be a regular occurrence.

Other useful info:
You can take a split (like you linked) and put the url into http://rehfeld.us/wow/wws-tps/ to get a breakdown of your tps.

Procs & Buffs:
Look at the Gains, Buffs & Debuffs tab for what of your abilities procced (and how often you use a given trinket). This is also where you'll find Misdirection.

Specific to this fight:
Go to a given split (Leo attempt #1, say). Then Browse -> Abilities. Click on the Debuffs tab and look for Consuming Madness. If it's not there, awesome. If it is, click on it. That is the list of everyone who did -not- kill their Inner Demon and had to be killed by the raid.

Note that it is very useful to look at wipes with WWS, sometimes moreso than kills. WWS is a very good tool for looking over what happened to figure out what went wrong, as well as to check up on how you're doing versus past encounters.

That said, things noticed:
You took two crushes. Debatably this doesn't matter on Leo -- he hits for pathetically low values and I've deliberately neglected HS on him just so I could take some damage and hopefully get mana. But it's something to keep in mind, since you have the ability to not take any.

Your shammies are not putting down searing totems -- Leo loves these things and they will help you a ton for picking him back up. Just have the shammy put it somewhere close to where you want to pick him back up -- he will beeline for it coming out of whirlwind. If he heads for a dps instead that answers the question of whether or not that dps is responsible for their own death by continuing to dps at an aggro drop.

People need to work on killing their Inner Demons. There are a few mobs scattered around that can simulate what damage they do and what health they have for people to practice on.

I'd argue that outside of latency (and idiot melee) you can avoid all crushes, but yeah, a few crushes now and then are to be expected. I mentioned it largely because he had 0-2-2 crushes for Leo, 6 for the run, which is a little higher than I'd prefer. It's not a huge concern because neither Lurker nor Leo hits very hard, but if it's consistent it's something to keep an eye on (unless you're deliberately taking crushes for mana).

i know for a fact when one of the crushes was, at the beginning when i was positioning him. he ran around behind me and hit me before i realized he was tryin to get me from the back.

aside that, thanks for the advice guys, not bad for first being heals for the night, then being moved to dps, then finally a druid said he'd switch me dps/tank spots, lol. i'm the "Dance-all sing-all pally" of my guild Very Happy

Incidentally, the thing that hindered us the most was healers not being able to kill their demons.

Our solution was to buddy system the healers so that they could kill their demon without worrying about healing themselves. Simple as it sounds, it worked wonders.

leo is a weakling. dont worry about crushes. in fact...gear for threat more than for uncrushability...also this will help with any mana problems you likely have toward the end of the fight...

the rest of it is keeping him in a good spot so everyone can scatter nicely and also making sure that they stop dps/hots at the right times.

Leo is easy and hits like a wet noodle. Go head...take those crushes. Wipes almost always come from people not killing demons or dying during ww or (god forbid) pulling after the aggro wipe. Your job is cake.
