102.4 vs 540 - a lot of hp's

The WWS linked would suggest that it still operates in that fashion, especially when combined with the OPs post.
Like you, I feel it unlikely that they would have changed such a major mechanic without mentioning it.
It's still too big of a un-needed risk for such a tiny benefit though imo

i'd consider dropping marginally below 540 to dps but be ready for oh shit taunt and wall situations... but its boss dependent really. i try to maintain >535 defense for dps'ing and >538 for BV SHoR bug exploiting (different arrangements based on hit rating), but if im going to get hit by more than aoe or SoB feedback, stay above 5.6% crit reduction.
