A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing

Yeah, the WoG/EF stuff is done already.

theckhd wrote:Probably only 1-2k swings, which is 25-50 minutes with a 1.6 weapon (faster if you have some haste).

Logging with Titahk here: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-18luggodiisxb74y/

2773 swings, 289 procs, 10.42% proc rate +/- 1.14%. Have to run, will analyze when I get back.

I'll take that as someone already did 1.6 data

1.7 Speed dagger

3941 swings, 278 procs, 7.05% proc rate
Close to 2.5 PPM 2.5*1.7/60=7.08%

Hope you can make sense of this later

So far we have:
1.7-speed dagger: 7.08% +/- 0.80%, ~2.50 PPM
2.6-speed 1h: 8.66% +/- 0.45%, ~2.00 PPM
2.9-speed 2H staff: 10.42% +/- 1.14%, ~2.16 PPM
3.6-speed 2H axe: 15.27% +/- 0.69%, ~2.55 PPM

Klaud, if you want to do a test with the 1.6-speed weapon, go for it. I haven't found a theory that fits all four points yet.

My math comes out ~ 2.68 PPM for that...strange

Are Censure or SoT a Proc Trigger? If not then I get ~2.23 PPM

The plot is looking quite scattered at this point.

ah shit... forgot I had SoT on...

<edit> wait... was SoT supposed to be on or not?

5.88% +/- 0.96%, 2.21 PPM

The weird thing is that we're getting an obvious variance with weapon speed, but it's not a consistent PPM-type variance. Very odd.

Consolidated list:
1.6-speed mace: 5.88% +/- 0.96%, ~2.21 PPM
1.7-speed dagger: 7.08% +/- 0.80%, ~2.50 PPM
2.3-speed mace: 9.88% +/- 0.65%, ~2.58 PPM
2.6-speed 1h: 8.66% +/- 0.45%, ~2.00 PPM
2.9-speed 2H staff: 10.42% +/- 1.14%, ~2.16 PPM
3.6-speed 2H axe: 15.27% +/- 0.69%, ~2.55 PPM

was i supposed to have SoT on or off? does it matter?

<edit>

also, you could always ask in the new class analysis thread, worth a shot if you post your analysis

Klaudandus wrote:was i supposed to have SoT on or off? does it matter?

Off, but it shouldn't matter, in theory. Unless they didn't fix the application proc issue like they claimed to have. If they hadn't, we'd expect roughly double the proc rate.

I guess I could, but I hate doing that. Still, it would probably be faster than continuing to test.

So far here's what we have:

Not particularly fittable, especially given that the 2.6 data point is a 1h. I'm half wondering if the proc rate changed in-between builds.

tomorrow, i'll repeat 1.6 without SoT, just to make sure.

Damn strange
Severs where down before I came to work, but I'll try to do some more with the 1h 2.6 axe later.

2. [5.0.1.15781] Armor and Physical Damage Reduction - Armor coefficient at 90 is ~25050

Please update these entries from the leading post. The first can be removed (a later entry confirms that it now uses phys.haste), the second should be linked to Nooska's post.

New tests :
1. Does Protector of the Innocent scale twice with SoI ? Grab a gear packed with Str (hence SP), note somewhere the total SP, cast a WoG on a friendly target.
2. Does Avenging Wrath (glyph) scale with SoI ? Grab a gear packed with Sta, note somewhere the total HP, cast AW.
3. Is Word of Glory (glyph) multiplicative/additive with global modifiers ? Grab a gear packed with Str whilst having equipped a low-level weapon, autoattack an isolated low-level dummy for 5 min, store 3 HoPow, cast AW and then immediately after cast WoG on self (while still autoattacking).
4. Is 4pt14 multiplicative/additive with SoI ? Same methodology as #1 (but without any active glyphs).

Neither HPr nor LH seem to be benefiting from SoI. Min heal with SoI off is within 0.2% of the min heal with it off in both cases. Just need ES now.

EDIT :

ok strange stuff going on in all logs I had Glyph of Word of Glory equipped, but I would only get the buff http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=115522 from WoG when I had Unbreakable Spirit talented as well.

AW: 1568/1306=1.2006
AW+GoWoG: 1710/1306 = 1.3093
1.2*1.09=1.3080

AW and GoWoG are multiplicative. If they were additive, we'd expect ~1306*1.29=1685 damage during the combined effect.

Going to leave a 2.6 speed 1h axe with Colossus on it logging for a while, to see if they did change the proc rate in between builds.

7.61 seconds of uptime from first to last cast
5.945 seconds of uptime from 2nd to 3rd cast

Refreshing GoWoG WoG just resets the duration to full, it's not additive like SotR's buff is.

Buff is obviously refreshed despite being a weaker version.

That's... odd. I guess it's a bug, I'll log on to beta to confirm that I'm seeing the same behavior.

<edit>: Yup, same for me. GoWoG only grants the buff if Unbreakable Spirit is talented.
