It's not going to happen, guys. Blizzard won't let it without some serious rebalancing done to Warriors.

Some rogues were able to hit 102.4% pure avoidance in TBC. I believe there's a video out there of one tanking Illidan.

This tanks your avoidance and HP so hard I can't see it being feasible for normal tank duties. You're relying on some hardcore gemming.

Yeah, just as long as they can't even sniff it without gimping themselves it shouldn't be a problem.

Haven't run the numbers personally, just collected the gear list. Haven't even considered what enchanting it would yield.

Also on the consumable list, +45 defense guardian elixir is simply amazing.

BS + JC is a huge boon to this as it not only lets you get extra defense but it also lets you grab a few defense and BR socket bonuses in JC's case.

using chardev.org and running numbers i dont see how the boots of the resilient come out ahead of inexorable sabatons.

after DR (with everything from Majiben's list sans boots)

dodge: 24.71
parry: 18.31
block: 41.85

for 84.87. kings nets around another .3 avoidance from agility so 85.17 not counting miss and miss from defense skill. I tend to assume 9.25% chance to miss when im figuring things but im perty sure thats wrong, i know i saw a thread on it here but didnt see anything definitive on the calculation on miss from defense after dr. i should probably check whitetooths post on it at elitistjerks..

so with my assumed yet probably wrong miss that would be around 94.42%

the 45 defense elixir would bring it up to 25.5, 18.62, 41.33 so 95% with kings? i know my numbers are slightly off from in game so im probably not much help, i think i round somewhere im not supposed to <.<

Some rogues did reach unhittable (101.8% avoidance) in TBC, it obviously required very specific gear but also relied on group composition - both a hunter and moonkin were handy for debuffing boss.

warcrafter conversions don't seem to be correct -- specifically agility to dodge is incorrect, at least.

Loading my char into warcraft gives higher dodge and parry than the wow char screen displays.

Loading my char into chardev.org reports accurately, so their code appears to be updated for WotLK.

Although, now that I think about it, if you were to use this set to solo farm things, you'd sanc in lieu of kings, so the numbers would be slightly lower.

Not really, I assumed the point of the set was to go an sit afk while taking no damage in which case kings can make sense.

This is looking fairly strong. If you did go to sanctuary you could throw on seal of light / judgment of light. If you pulled 100 mobs of equal level, they would only hit 5% of the time if kings is a 2.26% loss. So a tankadin could feasibly survive 100 mobs that hit every second for 100 damage if SoL heals for about 500 and procs every second.

We could probably also throw on an agility scroll.

You could win solely by using retribution aura if you wanted.

ret aura requires you actually be fully hit, it doesn't proc on a blocked hit?so the whole idea of this set renders ret aura useless afaik.

Incorrect. Any melee damage taken at all will activate ret aura. The set should give enough BV though that most attacks will be negated and since no damage gets though on a fully blocked attack, ret aura will not activate.

A little backwards. It procs when you partially block a hit, but not when you fully block a hit.
