Determining miss rates, or how much over 102.4%?

Ah I see.

My post was made in reference to the base 5% miss that tanks have against same-level mobs being reduced by 0.6% due to a boss' difference in weapon skill. Though in hindsight, the additional 2.4% for block cap would solve that (as someone pointed out previously).

This has been previously discussed, and the general consensus is that the only DR you need to worry about is the DR from defense, as the values shown in your paper doll for both dodge and parry are AFTER DR. You only get an extra 6-7% miss rate from defense, and it is the only thing that DR is not taken into account for using the macro posted here:

Or you can just use the macro that includes DR on miss:

Wow. Good info in here. And here I had thought I had just asked a question that was largely irrelevant. Thanks for the info.

As far as the reply that says "yes at 540, but what about when you hit 580" I highly doubt anyone would push their defense that high, anything over 700 rating your better off investing in other avoidance stats or, of course, stamina.

Nope, it's only accurate to 2 decimal places... Wink

Yes, it's spot on.
