I tend to toggle RF or have the warrior Vigilance me as necessary.

But yes, JoL threat is dumb.

My gear is mediocre atm since I have not ran any 10 man naxx yet. But my guild brought me in for 25man this week and I was doing OVER 9000 tps consistent and sometimes even over the 10000-14000 mark spikes for a few seconds.

So yea. I couldn't imagine how much tps i'd actually do if i had better gear ;P

I actually had no idea JoL caused threat, I've been having our ret paladin use it with me using JoW.

The warriors in my guild put out crazy threat too. On fights with undead my opening is exor, judge wisdom, ShoR.

The warrior does _one_ shield slam and instantly has agro.

It takes a HotR and melee swing (with SoV) to take it back.

How can their shield slam be practically double ours? He hits for about the same damage as me; is their build in threat modifier really so huge?

The key it seems is to do two things, either gear for main tanking, or turn off RF if you're OT, cause if you're OT, and the mob is gonna require more than 50-60 seconds of your attention, you're gonna eat up the guy tanking its threat.

Or just don't judge light, judge justice, the crap one that nobody ever judges (cept our holy, we have him judge it, I do light and the ret does wisdom).

Its literally pathetic how much TPS we put out, and I expect it to get toned down honestly. I will literally eat a spore on Loatheb @ 400k threat, because by then, its not even close, and then I can start throwing out some DPS to help the fight out some.

I can understand "tanks not having to worry about threat" but seriously, it shouldn't be this way, it makes everything in the game very trivial in my opinon, and its all about DPS all out racing. There's no limitation to what you can do anymore as a healer, dps or tank in reality. If you MT, you have ungodly threat leads over your DPS on single boss targets, on multi mob targets, I get pulled off of on occassion when someone wants to DPS target 4, cause 1-3 are getting hit by SoV procs, but 4 isn't and sometimes consecrate can't keep down a mob that someone wants to go all out on for some unknown reason.

lol warriors n druids cannot match up to our tps even if their gear excels ours. (at least for the time being or until we get nerfed)

Warrior slam is doubled by having Shield Block up - and it gives some nice smooth mitigation for the pull, where healers are often getting their act together, I would expect them to pop SB every pull.

NB: Vigilance seems to break the mana return of Sanctuary. I refuse to let the warriors put it on me for trash (and for bosses, I toggle RF on and off if I'm not meant to be tanking).

But given current mechanics, if TPS is an issue or there's a lot of raid damage and we want JoL up, the current answer in our guild is "Knaughty's tanking". Sapph is the best example. If a tankadin is present... tough, they have to tank, even with RF turned off they're in danger of pulling.

Personally, I want JoL threat = zero and roughly a 30-50% DPS boost so we match the warriors/druids. Possibly RF nerfed to +60% as well.

DPS at patchwerk is still lower than I see warriors and bears do.

The one fight I'm forced to admit I'm liking it is Sarth+drakes.

• Judge light on DPS target.
• Consecrate.
• OK, adds are tanked now. KKTHXBI.

Lol I was OTing Loatheb 2nite. I wasn't watching omen or payin much attention, but I heard my Guild Leader ragin on vent about me pullin aggro and apparently me just doing w/ pulled off 17k tps at some point. I do think it is a bit OP.

Good, then Ret can go back to judging Light, as they should have the most AP. We protadins can take Wisdom, leaving Justice to the Holy ones.
