Northrend weapon enchant

I wouldn't worry about threat. I don't think anyone has yet to approach within 40% of my single target threat and I'm constantly breaking the 969 rotation to SS myself/others, drop FoL's inbetween swings (go go slow hitting naxx bosses) and other shenanigans. In TBC the biggest hurdle was the dps race, trying to stay high enough on threat so the dps could go full bore. So the main focus was 'how do I maximize threat?'

WOTLK is entirely instead about the choreography of the dance and making sure the healers have mana. There are no fights in Naxx with rage timers you have to worry about, however, healer mana isn't going to to keep up as indefinitely as it used to so the main focus should be on maximizing avoidance. We need to not only reach 102.4%, but crush it entirely and get as high as possible.

Personally, I'm trying to find some number crunching on moongoose (15 second, 120 agi enchant proc) vs. Superior agility (26 agility constant) to see which provides more avoidance over the long term.

The 1 ppm on mongoose is the hardest part, but if you drop conviction (only good for more threat which we honestly don't need) for reckoning (which provides a slight threat bonus anyways)...then if HoTR can proc mongoose (will test when I get bored). Could maintain a relatively reasonable uptime.

26 agility is probably what I'll go with, but the lack of an enchant graphic makes me a sad panda.

last i heard, tanking weapons were still superior or just as good as spell damage weapons. not sure how this stands as of now.

even still- im not as concernced about the TPS from a weapon enchant as i am about getting the 'most bang for my buck'. Str gives TPS, yes, and ALSO BV. Just saying, I was hoping that Superior(whatever) Potency would have been something like 35 STR, not 65 AP. Fwiw- i'd probably still go with BC potency over that..

What class/specs really actually want to use this thing?

this is simply a 1-hander enchant (Massacre enchant for 2handers, or something else, not this anyway). Druids use a 2hander, so they´d never enchant this. Hunters may use 2 hander, in which case they wont use this either.

So for 1 spec of pala, 1 of warr, 1-3 of dk (not sure on dk, dunno what specs do better/worse with dual-wield) attleast strenght>ap.

Rogues, Hunters and shaman do prefer ap to strenght.

But considering they all dualwield (if hunter not 2H user) and need alot of hit anyway, so wouldn´t "accuracy" enchant be alot better for them in the first place. Hunters i´m not sure on this, someone can correct me if i´m wrong.

I just dont understand who the hell is this thing supposed to be for?

TL;DR: 3-5 specs would prefer it be strenght. Rest dont give a #¤% since they´ll use something else anyway. Can someone explain where i´m going wrong or is this thing just useless for everyone?

Put black magic on my sword.

It was 0.6% of my damage after a night of heroics.

gg 2k gold enchant.

Leaving it on because I don't have anything better to replace it with quite yet, and maybe tonight's naxx parses might say different.

My tentative guess would be that Blizz somehow thinks it would be overpowered, and they don't want a 25/30 strength enchant because they're counting on us not getting that as block.

Essentially, I'd suppose, they'd have us choosing between less ap + block v. more ap- no having your cake and eating it, too.

+26 agility for me for sure. I started with Potency but meh, I don't care much about TPS increases and in my opinion 0.5% dodge prior to DR and 52 armor trump ~11BV without a question in terms of damage reduction.
