In other words, the /cancelaura makes the /cast judgment fail, unless SoV is the active seal.

Hm

Anyone know if there's ANY way via the Combat Log to see when a 5-stack Vengeance gets refreshed? It would be nice to have a SCT warning for when it gets refreshed so you know when to switch back to SoR.

I believe the normal combat log states the stack size each time the buff is applied:

Your Seal of Vengeance applies Holy Vengeance
Your Seal of Vengeance applies Holy Vengeance (2)
Your Seal of Vengeance applies Holy Vengeance (3)

etc.

But I haven't looked at this in a while for sure.

You'd see those anyway, though, wouldn't you? There should be something like

Mr. Smite is affected by Holy Vengeance [5].
.
.
.
You hit Mr. Smite for 76.
Your Seal of Vengeance hits Mr. Smite for 35.

Each one of those spikes tells you that you just got a proc (and stack refresh). I don't remember if the spike damage is referred to as Seal of Vengeance but that's the idea.

From one of my combat logs:

After the 5th application, each renewing causes damage.

Each time you see
Your Seal of Vengeance hits Target for X Holy Damage.
SoV have been refreshed.
