Is grinding on Supplicants still a good idea?

If you fly up one terrace, you'll see another elite on the right hand side, and a demon on the left side. In the middle there's a few supplicants/initiates, that's where I start my second pull, drag them up around the stairs, picking everything you find, into the 3rd elite's room, pick 6 more without aggroing him, out around the bonfire and avoid the warlock/summoner and doomguard. It will take you a while to take those out due to the spellbreaker debuff, but its another 10-15 elves. Allows you to grind some more while waiting for the big respawn

Sweet. Thanks for the tips. I briefly went to Death's Door to try and grind Aldor tokens ... and man, that drain life is annoying. Arcane tomes seem to have taken a slight dip recently, though, since MgT/IQD is full of blood elves that drop them... ugh.

I do like the idea of working onthe second terrace. I'll try that.

Tried searching, but only got this thread. Is there a link to the original that gives more details by chance? Specifically why this is a great idea. Im assuming its mainly coin + cloth + tomes, but if theres more up there Id love to know.

A changeup from the heap would be nice (need cons rep anyway).

I don't know if it is EFFICIENT, but basically the reasoning is this:

Large numbers of dueling dual-wielders. You can pull ~20 of them at once (more? less? I forget?) with a mount, and then tank them all to death in the corner.

- duel wielders attack fast, so more chances to damage them with ret aura and blocking
- many attacks == many chances to block, and many chances to proc Redoubt for even more blocks.
- Petrified Lichen Guard + shield spike + holy shield + BoSanctuary = lots of reflected damage
- 10-20 attackers ALL being affected by consecrate is very nice

As long as you don't get Netharel, the elite, you're safe to tank a ridiculous amount. Save a bubble for healing yourself or bandaging. I tend to judge/seal wisdom so as to enable more consecration spam, as it helps me kill them faster (and thereby need to heal less).

If you have a +block trinket (like Dabiri's Enigma), that REALLY helps to ensure that you get a bunch of damage out to them initially. Combine that with the Figurine of the Colossus which heals you when you block, and you won't even need to bubble, and probably won't need to spend mana healing. (I don't have the FoC yet, and I usually don't need to bubble.)

That figurine, in a decent supplicant pull, can easily peak 3k incomign heals per second.

It's not falling, the ground is just flying up into it.

I usually do all the supplicants by Netharael in one pull, then fly up one level and pull all the initiates standing from the bottom of the stair up to the very top platform. Those are fairly slow but give me something to do while waiting for respawns.

After the initiates are down I fly down to the stairs by Netharael again and walk backwards down the ramp pulling all the Sunfury Eradicators standing along it. Remember to cast Rank 1 Consecration as you go along to keep them on you.

When you're at the bottom of the ramp it's time for max rank Consecration/trinket etc. Takes a bit more time since they heal but their manapool is low so they go down eventually. Note that these take some better gear than supplicants/initiates and you will have to drink after they're down.

Used to average 200g+/hour after everything was vendored/AH'ed but the new quests to kill bloodelves means the Tome/Signet prices has gone down quite a bit. So probably a bit less now.

Step 1: Pull supplicants.
Step 2: Tank supplicants to death.
Step 3: Get on mount, fly up a bit until mages that are trying to steal your supplicants can't kill you without splatting themselves.
Step 4: Alt-tab to tankadin forums and have a few lols.
Step 5: Tab back to check status of respawns.

Repeat steps 1-5 as necessary!

What chests? Do you turn on Treasure Tracking and look for random chests in the environment? Where are the best places to search for chests in SMV? The coilskar chests suck from what I remember, just a handful of silver and some fish oil.
