Boss miss question

Hi,

I am currently trying to make my pally uncrushable, and am a bit confused about what % a boss has to miss an attack.

From my understanding they have a 5% chance to miss, plus whatever % chance your defense gives for me to be hit/crit'd. So with a 6.12% chance for me not to be hit, a raid boss will therefore miss me 11.12% of the time? Is this the case or have i got the wrong end of the stick?

Yes, the base miss chance is 5%, total is base + value added from Defense.

5% is the base miss chance for a same level mob. So if you're only fighting level 70 mobs, you only need 100% miss/dodge/parry/block for the mob to never land an unblocked hit on you.

However, mobs of higher levels has a lesser chance to miss you, which is why it takes 102.4% avoidance to be uncrushable against boss-level mobs (which are calculated as being 3 levels higher than you regardless of your level).
