Well last night was my first time in kara, and any raid for that matter. we originally had 2 pally tanks but one had to drop due to some family issues so i ended up being the only tank. so the plan changed from animal boss and attumen to just animal until i said that i've read pallies can solo tank attumen and they said we have nothing to lose so we'd try. this was most of the groups first time there and the rest were there but long time ago so it was kind of a learning night. the animal side was pretty good until we got to the bats that were patting in the 2 rooms, we did the left room first. i got lucky body pulling the first couple and only pulling 1 at a time, then i pulled 4 at once:( we had enough mages to cc the adds but due to the first time grouping together and stuff didn't communicate well and they would sheep the same one or my conscencrae would break it cause i was trying to keep them off the healers, we wiped on them. after that we didn't wipe again but i would pull 2 at a time a lot whic wasn't bad, i'm just wondering if there is an easier way to pull the bats? we continued on and got the bat boss and downed him only lossing one healer so it was good and we went on to attumen side.
Our strategy here was to have me tank one and hunter trap one. I personally suck at working with hunters i forget about trapped mob alot and also forget to wait for trap cooldown:( we got past the first part with a few small hiccups but nothing real big and we cleared the next small room as well, but not real fast. then we are sitting in that room thinking of how to do the 4 pull when i decide to kill the rat 5 feet in front of me, which happen to be within aggro range of the 4 pull:( such a noob move. i picked them up quick and actually held them and we aoe'd them down pretty easily so the group was impressed and decided we should aoe the next 5 pull, but there was a charger in there and aoe fear killed me and the others ran out. so we had to wait for the timer to reset cause it was like 3 mins left. since they seen the aoe capabilities of the pally tank we just aoe'd through to the 5 pull again and this time trapped the charger and all is good. then we did attumen. though many said i don't think we can do this or we need 2 tanks for this we gave it ago and one shotted him:) wasn't even close even though i got crushed like 5 times due to my retardation. i have holy shield bound to the T key and i hit r once so everytime i hit t i was replying to my buddy, i looked and saw a chat window that said ttttttttttttttttttttttttt so yeah another awesome move by me.
sorry for the long post but these are the questions i have:
1. is there a easy way to pull the bats? should i have someone single pull and i pick them up?
2. i got crushed at first by midnight cause i didn't get holy shield up after avengers shield fast enough. i could put it up before pulling or i was wondering if there is a macro to throw shield then holy shield?
