Sacred Shield co-efficients?

Just wondering because its not in the number cruncher's reference sticky at the top. I think I heard something along the lines of it recieves +75% benefit from spellpower, so that's why a holy paladin's SS absorbs so damn much damage per application, is that right?

That is correct, it is a 75% coefficient to Spell Power.

At 2200 SP raid buffed, my each of my SS procs absorbs 2,150 damage (500 base plus 75% of 2200 or 1,650). 5 procs = 10,750 in added EH in a 30 second period for the cost of 528 mana.

Which equals 20.36 points of damage absorbed per point of mana spent if each of the shield procs if fully consumed.

Love this spell.

Cheers,

I have a question. Does it gain the spellpower from Touched by the Light or Sheath of Light?

TbtL: Yes.
Sheath of Light: No.

It's presumably a bug, but not one they're interested in fixing. I think they just don't want to give anybody a reason to QQ that they're making ret stronger in pvp, even if it is just fixing a bug.
