[10]Faction champions

we got
Warlock with Fel puppy
Shadow Priest
Ret Paly
Warrior
Tree Druid
Shammy

CC melee, burn healers.

done

actually we had trouble trying the CC healers, burn melee. since we had enough CCs in the group, we decided to switch it around killing healers first (which is the first thing we should have done - facepalm). The Ret paly/warrior was kited by dks with chains of ice while caster dps was just left alone.

Kill order was Fel puppy (to take out 6 sec spell lock) then shammy (bigger heals than Druid).
Shadow priest>warlock>warrior>druid>ret paly was the last bit.

Re: [10]Faction champions

We got

Shammy
Holy Pala
DK
Arms War
Mage
Hunter

Our killorder was: Shammy, Mage, Arms War, Hunter, DK, Paladin

the reason for the strange kill order was that I noticed I can with taunts effectively keep the DK (and with some practice also the warr at the same time) busy throughout the fight. just chain taunts and you will be able to control 2 out of 4 mobs. That is alot ;)

Re: [10]Faction champions

We had Sham, Priest, Boomkin, Warlock, Rogue and Ret pally.

Killed the Sham first, next the priest, then lolfacerolled the rest. Ridiculously easier than the 25s version (which itself, whilst harder than previous bosses in there is not exactly super tough). Having done 25 beforehand I was actually expecting a decentish fight but it seriously is just as easy as Lol Jokeraxus and the Beasts.

That said, I expect the hard modes to be (naturally) far more interesting and hope they actually give us a lot of trouble when we get to them in a few weeks :)

we got the exact same setup as you :P

I'll explain what strategy worked for us... maybe will help some group not as much geared

we got serious problems with the pally putting bubble on our target ...
what we did was our tank dk came from one side and we come from another, I made the pull with AS and he death gripped the pally away from the rest of the raid, and then taunted/chains of ice him to keep him appart. on the pull we only used 1 CC each, frozen trap on rogue, polymorph on lock, fear on boomkin and hex on shaman. and the only char who was "re-CC'ed" was the shaman (a cyclone from our healer) all the other 7 zerged the priest with BL (myself and a feral druid responsible for interrupting him). after that we changed to the shaman, I just dropeed HoJ on him whenever I had the CD, and I keeped the rogue on me whenenever was possible (taunting when he got near some one), I basically could really cancel the rogue timing the taunt right, while cleansing ppl.

after 2 healers were down the fight was very easy, just a matter of keeping ours alive (CC's and cleansings helping a lot with that)

Re: [10]Faction champions

When we went in last night, we had a Shaman, Paladin (Holy?), Mage, Warrior, Hunter, Deathknight.

We kept a MS effect on the Shaman through our very own hunter, and went full force on the Shaman. It took a while, we lost a couple of players to other mobs, but after we got our First kill down, the paladin went quickly, then the mage 3rd, then it was just mop up.

I'll note, for anyone who hasn't done the Magisters Arena or Faction champions before, that our Taunts do work, but only for a few seconds. Having two taunts is an advantage here, but Taunts carry their own diminishing returns. Go ahead and use them to save someone, but don't expect to "tank".

Personally, I went:
Ret gear with tanking weapon, shield, libram
Prot Talents (Allowing for 20 second stuns, Shield Silences, lowered cool down on Bubbles, etc).

I was not awesome dps, but I felt like I had more "control" than I would in my ret spec. The lowered odds of a specific interrupt / attack missing didn't hurt either.

 We had the exact opposite experience. We steamrolled 25s, but 10s was maddening - probably due to group makeup.

Re: [10]Faction champions

We got:

Disc/Holy Priest (zomgbig/fast heals, penance, hard to interrupt),
Holy Pally (bubble, Bop, big/fast heals),
Moonkin (cyclone, fairy fire, hard to cc),
Enhance Shaman (interrupts, totems, high dmg),
Arcane Mage (sheep, occasional high burst, ice block),
Shadowstep Rogue (cloak of skill, shadow step, high dmg)

We didnt have alot of different cc classes so we hit cc immune pretty quick, so this kinda sucked (2 lock, 2 druids, 2 shaman, 2 pally, rogue, dk). Plus some of our guys just don't pvp, ever (as in they only have a pvp trinket because some pve encounter required one a long time ago).

Had to spam cc the pally, focus the priest while purging him because he always got BoP from the pally even if we had him cc'd. They still got 2 of us down before we could take out the 2nd healer due to the huge amounts of no cool-down cc they were throwing at us (sheep, cyclone and pally stun seemed to always be on at least one of us at all times). But once the last healer went down it was easy, although i still think their cc should have diminishing returns against us since ours did against them.

If they are going to make a pvp fight, they need to make the mobs level 80 and act as a player mob, so we can wear pvp gear instead of being forced to keep pve/hit gear on. Plus 2.4 million hps + increased dmg vs our 24k hps + player dmg just doesn't seem fair (rogue was 1 shotting a couple of our players if he got to them, I had to spam taunt him for our winning attempt).

Re: [10]Faction champions

Interesting creepy, you got exactly same setup as us.

However, our group was like, DPS dk, Ret pala (me), 2 rogues, Hunter, Fury war, Feral druid, Resto shaman, Holy pala, Disc priest.
That is, 0 CC. We solved by having one rogue on the holy pala on kick duty, one rogue on the priest on kick duty (both with mind numbing + wounding) and Bloodlust + zerg the priest, then zerg the pala until it bubbles, zerg mage, zerg pala when bubble is off, then at this point we had half of the raid dead, and we took down the remaining 4 in 5 with only the holy pala (2500+ rated one though lol) solohealing us.

Fun fun fun, i really like this fight.
