S4 Shield Vs. Aldori Legacy Defender

armor is a lot more important than people seem to realize.

S3 shield > Aldori legacy defender

With the scaling of AC/iLevel... S4 >>>> ALD. Not even a question.

Even the S2 shield is better than the Aldori. Dorvan and several others had that discussion a while back and I have to agree with the conclusion that armor with it's constant damage reduction is better than a little extra avoidance.

So the rating will be dropping from the VGSW? Can someone say how many arena points it will be... I was looking forward to getting my MGSW next week as my upgrade from Coldarra. Should I hold out for Gruul or Jan'alai or go ahead and get S2 now?

I wouldn't spend arena points on the S2 shield as it will be available for honor in a few weeks. Assuming there is other arena gear that you want, of course.
