when am i ready for kara??

Hi,
Im new to forums this is my first post, but im just wondering what people think i need to improve on to be able to start kara/heroics.

I know i need new shield, belt, and boots but im not sure if i should upgrade more or not before i head in.

Also my talents, im not sure if i should keep rekoning or not,.... i see some people do but some don't.

Any comments would be much appreciated,
