help me pick my trinkets

So as i am sure alot of you guys also have about 8 different trinkets i just got a new one tonight and i am unsure as to wether or not it is better than the one i use. I just got the tome of fiery redemption which has a chance to give me 290 spell damage when i cast a spell. It's proc rate is pretty good, but what i am wondering is if it has enough to justifiy using it over my icon of the silver cresent. I also plan on picking up the new spelldamage/HP on use trinket once it come out from honor.

So what do you guys think i generally use my dark moon card vengence if the boss hits decently hard. and i use the tome/icon on trash and anything that i have to AoE tank or anything thats a joke to tank like LOL VR or solarian.

if you cant find the question in all that rambling it is is pretty much which would you recommend to use with my darkmoon card vengence.

yeah the predictablitiy of the icon is what i like about it i can use it wheni want to and i can use it and AW then in two minutes use icon again then in 2 more minutes AW and trinket are aligned again which is really nice.
but i am going to use teh spelldamage/HP one when i am tanking anything that can kill me in 4 shots or when i know i dont really need to burst my threat.
