Heroic Paladin Tanking Gems

Couldn't find this information when I did a search for it. So thought I'd research it myself and share it here. What I was after was basically what are the gems that we could be farming for as Paladin tanks that drop in heroic instances.

If I've got anything wrong or missed something - please let me know so I can update.

Beaming Fire Opal - Red/Yellow - +5 Dodge Rating and +4 Resilience Rating - Blood Furnace

Defender's Tanzanite - Red/Blue - +5 Parry Rating and +6 Stamina - Mechanaar

Enduring Chrysoprase - Yellow/Blue - +6 Stamina and +5 Defense Rating - Old Hillsbrad Foothills

Effulgent Chrysoprase - Yellow/Blue - +5 Defense Rating and 2 mana per 5 sec. - Hellfire Ramparts

Glimmering Fire Opal - Red/Yellow - +5 Parry Rating and +4 Defense Rating - The Black Morass

Glistening Fire Opal - Red/Yellow - +4 Agility and +5 Defense Rating - Mana-Tombs

Glowing Tanzanite - Red/Blue - +6 Spell Damage and +6 Stamina - The Black Morass

Regal Tanzanite - Red/Blue - +5 Dodge Rating and +6 Stamina - Shadow Labyrinth

Splendid Fire Opal - Yellow/Red - +5 Parry Rating and +4 Resilience Rating - The Underbog

Stalwart Fire Opal - Yellow/Red - +5 Defense Rating and +4 Dodge Rating - Sethekk Halls

Steady Chrysoprase - Yellow/Blue - +6 Stamina and +5 Resilience Rating - Hellfire Ramparts

Vivid Crysoprase - Yellow/Blue - +5 Spell Hit Rating and +6 Stamina - Slavepens

edit: I found similar information provided at the bottom of this thread. It talks about all gems from a perspective of their uncrushability values. A great source of information that could be combined with the above info. Hope what I have here is in a format that suits or is preferable to some people.

Also the Beaming Fire Opal (+5 Dodge Rating, +4 Resilience Rating) from Blood Furnace. Granted, I've had two of these sitting in my bank forever, but they might be useful some day.

I use the parry/sta gem on my gloves only because it has 1 socket and a stamina socket bonus. Other than that your better off with full sta gems (I may end up switching it out for an agi/sta gem anyway

All in all I really don't like the heroic gems

There's a lot of text there, but all I'm seeing is...

+15 stamina
+15 stamina
+15 stamina
+15 stamina
...

Very Happy

Do you guys ever socket for the bonus when its +6 stamina?

You're losing 12 to gain 6, assuming you socket the way I do and we're talking about an item with 1 socket of each color, but you're picking up 4-5 def and 5 parry or dodge or 4 agi, depending on which gems you have.

Or is it better to just forget about the 6 stam bonus and just go for the solid stars?

I will socket for the bonus if I'm only losing 2 or so stamina. Case in point would be the new badge belt and boots, which I'll be socketing with one stamina gem and one hybrid gem to get the 4 sta bonus.

I'm going to socket for the stam bonus as long as one of the gem colors is blue. So for the three socket pieces, there's a red, yellow and blue socket and a +6 stam bonus, and you'll only lose 6 stam. Two socket pieces, if there's a blue and a red or yellow and a +4 stam bonus, I'll socket the right colors for that as well.

If it's a red/yellow or red/red/yellow or yellow/red/red, then I won't socket for the bonus, as you'd likely be losing 12 stam.
