As you can see, I've combined a list of gear for strength based characters (Warriors, Death Knights, Protection/Retribution Paladins). Considering the overlap between the Strength users, making a full list instead of a Protection Paladin focused one was only a small difference, and this list might help out offspecs/alts.

If you see any errors, please do tell. I couldn't find any updated Timeless or PvP Shields and Weapons. This might have been an oversight. I'm also not sure about the Trash drops. I've included them for completeness sake, but since there's no such thing as a heroic trash drop, some of these items might actually not be available.

What I noticed most were the leg pieces. There are only "DPS" off-tier pieces, no actual Tank pieces. These pieces have one gem slot more than the tier pieces. Add to that that the Tank tier pieces are the most lackluster, there will be a lot of people after these same off-tier pieces.

Thanks a lot!
Just a quick mention though: heroic trash drops do exist. They're just pre-buff Rivendare's Charger levels of rare.

So they drop from Call to Arms dungeon satchels?

Arr arr.

Seriously though, got the HCTF DPS Trash Shoulders on Iron Qon a couple of weeks ago.

So they can even be heroic? Hmm...

I'll just leave things as they are. Trash drops aren't really something you can plan around. It's nice if they drop, but not something you'll be counting on.

Besides, it's only cloak and gloves to my knowledge. Most of us don't care about cloaks at all, and the tier gloves are really well itemized for all 6 tier sets.

Jesus Christ that's a wall of links.

Myeah, it is. Fortunately, I only had to write down the individual item numbers, and then add some excel formulas. If I didn't know my way around Excel, I would've never written this down.

which shoulders do have in mind?

i only know of Reconstructed Furious Shoulderplates which are random boss drop not a trash drop

Oh? I thought it was all trash. Silly me

I just learned how to craft Protector's Trillium Legguards on my alt, and realized I haven't included the craftables, as they didn't show up on WoWhead. It looks like they're not properly assigned as 5.4 items, and thus slipped through. I've added them (2x legs, 2x belt).

This might ease up on the legs slightly, but considering that the craftables are only 2 sockets, it looks like it will still be every strength user after the same 2 legs.

A quick check on the available gear made me come up with the following wishlists.

The protection set manages to barely stay under Hit cap at the Heroic Warforged level after reforging, and will probably be a little above it with 2/2 upgrades. Expertise has a little more leeway, allowing Parry to be reforged away from the cloak, as well as using a couple of Expertise gems.

The retribution set has a little more leeway with the Hit cap, allowing a couple of Hit gems to be used. Expertise is far below the cap, and will require some items to be reforged towards expertise.

This is just a quick sum-up after going through the list, veryfying Hit and Expertise caps, swapping some items to not be far above the Expertise cap, and then posting it. If I miss any important choices, feel free to correct me!

I've updated the first three posts, reflecting the renames of Flex/Normal/Heroic/Mythic and the changes in secondary stats.

I've also included the UBRS drops and the Blasted Lands quest rewards, for whatever that's worth.

Aaaand, added the Headless Horseman Helm and Ring as well.
