Help me stay uncrushable. (Gear advice)

Ok, so here's my problem. Right now I'm floating just at uncrushable with the gear I have. I have a second poultryizer, and want to upgrade my sword to the arena mace. The mace swap alone would make me crushable, let alone losing 4% block by taking out the trinket. Anybody see a way I can swap around some gear, getting different enchants, or resocket some gems to allow me to upgrade the weapon and up my stamina by adding the trinket? Do I need to take a 450 hp hit to upgrade my weapon? Help please. :)

BTW: Guild is in Kara. Downed all except Nightbane and Netherspite, and don't have enough ppl to do a 25 man. Maiden gloves are an upgrade I'm after, but no drop of them in 6 weeks now. /shrug. It's possible I'm capped for gear until ZA (or we down nightbane), but hoping I can still improve a bit.

Looks like your main problem is not your GEAR but your GEMS. You can NOT go stam-bombing until you're solidly uncrushable. Throw in some +8 dodge gems and get some socket bonuses, you'll be golden.

Except if I swap out +12 stam for +8 dodge, I'd be losing WAY more stamina than I gain from that trinket. And for just the weapon, I'd lose less stamina changing shield enchants than gems. Either way, was hoping there's some way I can at least maintain my hp, if not increase it.

unfortunately, its going to be hard because you already have 2 zero mitigation slot, your pvp shield and your poultr

some suggestions to help:

get the dodge enchant on the cloak <--- hp not affected
2% block on the shield
agi buff on boots


you might also look at switching to either the ogri'la shield or grinding a bit more for the shatar shield. Either one would solve your issue with a negligible sta hit.

its either that or overwrite some of your sta gems and I would be loathe to do that.

I'd recommend grabbing the Ogri'la shield and that with 2% block and 2 stam gems may fix all your issues. Then save the pvp shield for when you get avoidance upgrades later.

Hmm. Well, therin lies your problem I suppose. You could get a tanking shield; sha'tar one with +12s is about the same Sta but has avoidance as well instead of your arena one. Boots of Elusion are nice, but would drop your sta. Gauntlets and neck off maiden would help.

Just be patient, you'll get more gear with time. But in the mean time, uncrushable > sta. =)

Sha'tar shield: Is 1200 armor for 13 defense really going to be worth it though?

I take it from the suggestions though, that I'm basically gear capped till ZA. (other than the maiden drops and a hope we can kill Nightbane sometime soon. /crosses fingers) /shrug.

Guess when I get the arena mace I'll swap the shield enchant since that'll cover the gap for the least stamina decrease. (without giving up all that armor.)

Edit: Actually.... it occurred to me to ask what is probably a better question: Since I don't run anything higher than Kara, at what point is stacking stamina going to be mostly a waste (letting me grab avoidance, spell damage, etc)? If at 12.4 unbuffed I really never need anymore stamina for that dungeon, I may be smarter to focus on other stats.

I would consider some gem choices before reaching 102.4%
take shoulder socket bonus with either 4agi and 6stam gem or 8 dodge
belt of guardian shifting nightseye+def gems

sindorei - not sure if I was clear, but I AM currently over 102.4%. Your response made me think I forgot to mention that.

Just wait for some more gear, like I said, patience ftw ^^

I ran into this a few times myself; once I got that new piece of gear with more avoidance I was able to put on other new and exciting +sta things!

I'd definitely just wait for gear drops. I'm shy of 12k myself at the moment and I do just fine. I've been tanking the fifth add for Mag (i.e. the one that hits hardest) with about 11.9k unbuffed hp.

Don't drop your current shield. It's pretty much one of the best out there until you get something like Aldori Legacy Defender or the nightbane shield (arguable on the latter). Just wait on the stam bombing. Consider finding guilds that are far in progression and do alt runs of Gruul's to see if you can pick up appropriate upgrades in there. That's more or less what I've been doing to fill certain slots. Haven't won what I want yet, but in time, I should.
