Shield of the Templar and 3% dmg resist

This is partially related to 3.0 but also with wrath so posting it here. This change to Shield of the template which is supposed to reduce all dmg by 3%: Is it no longer applicable?

I just checked with a friend who has downloaded the patch and it is not listed on the tooltip of his talent tree. So do we have to wait for wotlk for this change to be made or it is no longer being made?

They haven't added it yet, it will come in a future patch.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about this myself. Couldn't seem to figure out if the 3% damage reduction was going to be added later, or was added previously and was currently removed.

I'm betting it needed to undergo 'more testing' to ensure that warriors wouldn't become obselete tanks. $50 bucks says it doesn't make it into live in it's current version (that we have been told of, that of 1/2/3% DR in SotTemplar).

Why would warriors become obsolete tanks if it goes live? Based on the theory crafting I read even with this warriors are 1% ahead which is compensated by pallies having AD or am I missing something?

One blue said something will be fixed in 3.0.3 (wich is a patch before the wotlk one comes), so there is hope for a small patch within let's say a week or so.

This improvement comes right after the one or two deep fun prot talents.

Nah, not really. The 3% is some very simple change. Promissed. That will come next patch. Like some other promissed changes (see the blue post above).

Next will be a 11-Point talent. That will come some time. I'm sure Blizzard has to make one and try it out and so on.

After that and more /cry about single target taunt we will get that too. It is not game breaking or so..

Then.. in 1-2 patches maybe 1-2 fun talents.

I STILL want the jump. We all seen Fordering do it.. And bears + warriors can charge, death knight can pull, so why can't we jump?

Would that be fun? Hell yes. But this will come in the future. Except if they would make this a 11 point talent. Ret would love that too, right?
