Anyone else feel a little disappointed at blizzard?

Oh, the only other thing I feel we lack, RF as a stance. But thats only because I keep wiping raids.

Barring fights where we need taunting or alot of spell damage i see us just fine now.

Aoe threat we rock, last i heard everyone does enough 1-target threat.

on mitigation we do maybe lose abit to warriors because of shield block, but you can think of it this way too:

thanks to shield block they have part of the time quite better mitigation than us, but rest of the time we have better mitigation than them.

so on boss with rarer special attacks warrior is better off since they´ll have their shield block on more of them. But on bosses where damage intake is very stable (specials all the time so many of them land when he dont got shield block on) we will be more likely to block those and get our normal bv mitigation on them.

That´s just my line of thought here. Also if tanks aren´t targetted by silences now but raid may still be, we may get slight magical damage reduction that other tanks can´t with cleanse if boss uses Dots and silence. your healers are silenced and can´t cleanse you, but you can cleanse yourself during that time or maybe even cleanse a healers silence so you will have a healer few seconds faster up than any other tank. That can prevent tank death too.

As long as they dont make many bosses that do DD magical damage, intensive taunting or rare and predictable melee attacks (so warriors and DK´s will allways have their extra mitigation skills up when they want them) i see us plenty fine or even better off than others.

Now we just hope they make the raid encounters right for us or if they do make encounters that favor not-using paladin tank, then they´ll give us tools to do that.

I like how people still miss the point bliz wants all tanks equal, thus "my class needs an advantage over your class" arguments are old.

A good tank is one that can acknowledge their limitations. A great tank is one that can properly use the tools at hand to overcome them.

And if one class is 18.1 and the other 17.9, is it really worth crying about?

Because MMOs aren't an exact science. Maybe the impact of fixing a 2% discrepancy in some cases causes a 5% discrepancy in others. There's too many variables to make a blanket statement.

It's not a case of "if I boost this number by 2% then all numbers will be balanced in all cases".

Blizz have done a decent job in getting them this close, and the indication is they aren't done yet.
