All Gear is ranked via TankadinPoints. TankadinPoints is a ranking system that takes into account EH, Avoidance, Threat, and uses relative itemValue point distributions to calculate an items contribution to each. Its goal is to re-evaluate gear in terms of a Tankadin's own strengths and weaknesses, talents and skills. It SHOULD NOT be an absolute gearing guide. Tankadins need to gear for certain benchmarks such as Defense minimum and Taunt resist cap. However, it should serve to act as a guide for which piece of gear is better for a tankadin "in general" than another piece of gear. For a more in-depth discussion of TankadinPoints, please go here. For a breakdown of TankadinPoints by Avoidance, EH, and Threat, please go here.
Big thanks to Mysiana and Chanticleer for providing links and sources to the items.
NOTE: The current rankings over-value gem slots (using epic gems, not rare). They also undervalue Block Rating gear.
