It beats having tokens rot because all your druids have 3 full sets of tier, your rogues and mages have already bought tier and PvP sets and have a 2nd set gemmed and enchanted differently, and your DKs all have off spec tokens they haven't even bothered turning in yet.

Meanwhile, conq token users are researching botnets so they can DDoS each other on raid night.

no, but if you take for exemple the stamina trinket, for a high price over another tank, it means that as long as there is even 1 single person that need a token for any of his tier pieces and have more point that you will get it over you. it means you take 1, the waiting list for a second is a lot longer than what it is now.

and well, I don't know about you, but I'm making some deals generally when there is like 2 or 3 on my token, and where I don't really need let's say the hands and more the chest, and for the priest, it doesn't matter, rather than wasting points.
Also because I'm normaly MTing and the holy pala is healing my ass. we both need tier, but maybe not the same piece. now it's not possible anymore with this system.

Also Tiers are most of the time BIS, for a lot of class, so you can't just say "I'm waiting untill everyone has it to take it cheaper" because now you're talking about every single piece of T9 for every guy in the raid.

and 1 more thing, to people saying (at least in my guild) "I'm saving for ilvl 258", I expect heroic mode to be hard, and not facerolling it in ilvl 226. it's like saying you're in Naxx10 gear (ilvl200), and you're gonna do Ulduar semi hard mode 25 (ilvl 232). it's unrealistic (258-226=32 ilvl), especially for tanks, and even more if the whole raid is in this gear.
the hp increase on every Tier for every class is there for a reason. try to do Ulduar25 with some aoe with a 14k hp rogue, you get instantly killed by the aoe.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

Got the ring today. No regrets at all. Libram will probably come next. Gotta wait on tier 9 until I start getting trophies from heroic...

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

Snagging T9 25 man shoulders first. I need four herioc daily runs and I have the badges for them.
Then I will probably get some of the other non-tier items (ring/libram), and then I can start saving back up for other 25 man tier pieces.

I'm lucky where my guild decided to do a 1, 2 punch on the first two trophies. First went to warrior tank. Second went to me. Trophies actually have maybe three people bidding on them right now. Most everyone is working on other pieces first before tier it seems in my guild.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

but whether you're really going to get the pants with your 258 token when you need to grab the gloves/head/chest for which there exist zero alternatives

Just to clarify since there seems to be a bit of confusion... the 258 tier token works like all of the previous tokens, ie, each piece is for 3/4 classes and a specific slot, not the all/all like the 245 tokens.

Went with T9 + Token shoulders and after that the libram. Haven't regretted yet.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

I plan on waiting for hard mode t9, at the moment I have 5th priority on any conq tier that drops, and since the warlocks both are waiting on a new weapon I should move even higher.

I dont plan on wearing 4 pc, probably only 2 pieces, so I will probably wait and grab them both from hard modes, and spend my badges on libram, ring, trinket, then crusaders orbs or ret gear.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

My first two purchases were the Retribution libram followed by the Protection libram.

I think I'm going to hold off on picking up the badge ring or the ilvl 245 shoulders. My first tier piece will be the ilvl 245 helm. First, Koralon is likely to drop the shoulders and gloves as these are the two cheapest pieces (I also killed him once on the PTR and I believe he dropped Shaman gloves, but don't hold me to this). Second, there isn't an alternative non-tier helm that can drop from 10/25 ToC. There are alternative pieces for the chest (25m), shoulder (10m), and leg slots (25m).

Assuming everything goes well, I should have the helm at the end of this lockout.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

I think I'm doing Libram > Shoulders > Ring

Looking at ratingsbuster, the ring seems like the smallest upgrade...

(edit) Just did the Libram, so saving for shoulders next..

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

which order would u guys rate the tier pieces?

i got shoulders first, have enough for gloves next, or should i wait and save for chest/helm/legs rather than getting gloves now?

so pretty much gloves+libram or ring, VS helm or chest, or legs...

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

If your guild is farming Freya hard mode or working on Ulduar hard modes, I'd recommend Handguards of Revitalization over ilvl 232/245 tier gloves.

For those who are still saving up - you're likely to pick up these shoulders from 10m normal. The ilvl 245 version from 10m heroic is BiS from an effective health standpoint, as it is the only pair of tank shoulders with two gem slots. You won't see an ilvl 232 or 245 upgrade in the head slot drop from a T9 era instance until they add Onyxia... which will be in November? The tier helm will be the largest upgrade you can get in that slot.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

the run i got the 50'th badge i got the 10 man shoulders from champions as well, so i get helm first, tbh the 10 man shoulders seem more useful after the bv changes, i think i may wait to see what can koralon drop to get another tier after the helm so i will take ring and the libram.

Re: What is the first item you are getting for EoTs?

I'm wondering what rings people have that they think the ring is that great?

I've got signet of winter, earthshaker and the older badge ring, and when I look at them in ratingbuster, the EoT ring is an up, but not a huge one. Best stat increase is like +300 heath, but it's a plus to dodge, but a minus to other def stats.

The shoulders, on the other hand, compared to the XT ones, are a solid up, even if I am loosing hit which I could gem for.

I'm thinking the shoulders next, (just got the libram) and then it will be tier or the ring, depending on how progression goes (or doesn't).
