WotLK Progression Gear (70-80 gear guide)

Yeah, the new WotLK gems really make the current gear really good, since the sockets on the items are budgeted with TBC gems in mind.

Any chance we can get this stickied in the gear forum?

I also found

http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12857

Which oddly enough offers 4 tanking weapons (1 is a drood staff, however) that appear to be halfway decent items.

How's everyone enjoying tanking utgarde keep / Nexus?

Really nice, thanks.

Is it right that there are 3 alliance quests in the nexus that provides gear, without a horde equivalence, or is wowhead just behind?

Seems you've included Utgarde Pinnacle in the "Level 68-72" section, and there's a necklace in there that requires level 78. Maybe that should be moved?

Thank you!!! This is definitely going to be bookmarked.

You forgot to include Cobalt Gauntlets.

WHY ISN'T THIS STICKIED!!!!!!!??

Don't see this on the list, so...

Blacksoul Protector's Hauberk, reward from Seeds of the Blacksouled Keepers in Howling Fjord.

Similar to Cobalt Chestpiece but with more defense. I'd consider it a valid alternative, rather than one being better or worse. Was a close call between these and my Vindicator's Hauberk (gives less avoidance, otherwise better; low def was my reason for not getting Cobalt).

I would also add these jewelcrafting items to the list they may be a pain to get but they definitely seem worth it.
