List: Bosses Ill-Suited to Tankadins

I'd like to see if we can put together a list of all the bosses we can come up with in 10-mans and 25-mans on which a Paladin tank is either unable to be an effective tank OR is the LEAST suited of the three tanking classes.

This is directly in reference to Main Tanking the boss himself. Addressing Off-tanking is fine, when in reference to maintaining secondary aggro on the boss himself.
Ignore Add-tanking and Trash roles.

Please state:

Boss: Boss Name
Instance: (Kara, SSC, BT, etc)
Impossible/Disadvantaged (choose one)

Reason: Factors which justify that boss being ill-suited to a tankadin Main Tank. Please be as brief as possible, but be complete.

Boss: Gruul
Instance: Gruul's Lair
Disadvantaged

Reason:
1) Silencing effect opens up periodic vulnerability to crushing blows due to being prevented from using Holy Shield while silenced.

2)Lack of fast-movement ability such as Intercept or Feral Charge to use after knock-backs prevents a Paladin from ensuring they stay in melee range, which can cause a melee DPS player to die to a Hateful Strike if the Paladin is off-tanking, or at best causes the boss to be constantly moving around the room chasing the Paladin if the Paladin is main tanking.

3)Lowest Effective Health levels present a greater risk of tank death in later growths and also a greater risk of tank death throughout the fight due to silenced healers.

4)Bugs with hit box size can result in Consecration not hitting Gruul, hurting the Paladin's ability to generate aggro

5)Shield Wall and Last Stand are simply too powerful an advantage to give up in favor of using a Paladin tank, and they go incredibly far towards solidifying a kill in the later growths which would have resulted in a wipe using a Paladin tank.

Boss: Nightbane
Instance: Karazan
Disadvantaged

Reason:
1) frequent Fear, making the only way to tank this by bubbling andthe pvp trinket. If you're horde you don't have the fear ward either, making an already hopeless fight - even more hopeless.

2)Agro seems to reset on fear - allowing nightbane to eat up your healers and dps'ers

Re: List: Bosses Ill-Suited to Tankadins

Boss: Van Cleef
Instance: Deadmines
Disadvantaged

Reason: Most of the primary Paladin tanking tools are not available while within the recommended level range of this instance making it significantly troublesome to maintain threat.

Boss: Prince Malchezzar
Instance: Karazhan
Advantaged

Reason: Malchezzar is a dual wielder with the Flurry property. What this means is that due to his dual wielding, he hits more frequently than most bosses, and each of his hits has the chance to proc an additional immediate attack. Since he is a boss level mob, any of these attacks may be crushes, and even just multiple flurried hits at once can stack up badly. Furthermore, during his second phase, his attack speed increases significantly.

Paladins have the advantage of not being crushed by any of his attacks, avoiding the inevitable spike damage that a warrior would take when his shield block charges are consumed.

Warriors can mitigate this somewhat by using Thunderclap, however a DPSing Warrior can also keep Thunderclap up for a Paladin tank.

Druids cannot block, and thus have a greater capacity to be multi hit/crushed in a short period of time.

As an additional benefit, Malchezzar is a demon, and thus susceptible to Exorcism, giving Paladin tanks a threat advantage over their baseline, allowing DPS to push harder.

I figured it would be good to have the list contain both disadvantaged and advantaged boss fights for comparison.

Boss: Magtheridon
Instance: Magtheridon's lair
Disadvantaged

At 30% Magtheridon shatters the walls of his lair, causing the roof to crash down on the entire raid. This deals 5250-6750 physical damage to every member of the raid. When this happens a warrior just uses shield wall, guess it can be worked around with a nightmare seed for a paladin, but so can a warrior use the seed

Boss: Maiden of Virtue
Instance: Karazhan
Disadvantaged

Reason: Maiden casts an AoE silence spell that affects all players in melee range. There are short intervals where players are not silenced. Since all of the abilities of Paladin tanks are spells, our threat-generating abilities can only be used for short durations during the fight, severely hindering our threat generation.
