DKP?

Dragon Kill Points. It's a means of loot allocation. You earn DKP for doing things, then items cost DKP when you get them.

It's just a way of measuring that isn't (usually) quite as arbitrary as loot councils or /roll.

dkp is a way raid leaders keep track of how many raids has person X attended, and how many items has he already gotten in the Z amount of raids.
There are 100's of different versions which each guild might be using, refer to your guild website/forums or ask a leader for clarification on the specific one you are using.

dkp is a way for the guild leaders to have control over where the loot goes. If somebody wins something they shouldn't have the system is adjusted.

Pretty crappy system in my honest opinion.

EP/GP is a way better system.
