Imho, dedication and commitment are two key aspects of raiding.

YOU spend the time and effort to collect the gear to be able to tank kara. The warriors did not.
YOU gained the respect of your guild to actually MT. The warriors did not.
YOU won loots on a decided upon loot system. The warriors did not.

If those warriors are not commited to continue to show up to raids, they not only do they miss their chance of getting the loots they want, but they also miss out on the opportunity to tank (if that's even what they wanted to do).

Simply explain to them that, hey, you had the right to roll on the loots, and that the bracers will drop again as long as they show up to raids.

It all comes down to this...

If your guild is confident in you, and you are actually competent in tanking the content then you will succeed.

That is the real limiting factor.

We can min/max till the cows come home but not every guild has the luxury nor the desire to do so. Reality is this, if you are tanking now, then chances are you will be tanking later. If you got the guild through Karazhan they will be looking to you to help them get through later content.

They won't just discard you unless you are in a totally mercenary guild where loyalty means jack shit.

Warriors whining about missing out on loot when theyre not even crit immune going into kara is just rofl tbh :\. You shouldn't be raiding if you aren't crit immune as a tank, 490 is not hard to get, seems like (if they know the significance of 490 def) they just want a free loot ride. You won the roll fairly imo, they lose overall.

No shame in having green/blue gear, but there is a shame in not having an item gemmed/enchanted to its full potential. Throw three solid stars into that bp, grab a mitigation one for now like vindicator or jade-skull. Later when you can afford to drop mitigation go back to it because it has much better hitpoints than vindicator's and block value on jade skull will become unneccesary plus it has the threat advantage.

Some items you can try to instance for is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29325 flesh beast metal greaves for boots, , could try steamvaults or black morass for a new cape as pretty much the devilshark cape/burnoose of shifting ages doesn't have a clear upgrade till al'ar (I'm not a fan of the gilded thoirum cloak). Look to drop one of your defense trinkets in favor of maybe the figurinee of the colossus (or hope moroes drops his pocket watch). Definitely go get your badge of justice libram, 15 badges is rather easy to get.

@ Karathos

Caught me logged out in 5man gear. I have Vindicator's Hauberk, Shatari Vindicators Waistguard, and Myrmidon's Headress for raids.

Will re-camp out and fix it.

And bracer now has +12 stamina. My "Free Enchant Gnome" doesnt have +defense one.

I have several heroic keys now, but still too chicken to try them.. yeah I know, I'm all calm and cool for Kara, but scared of Heroics. Go figure. Libram is definately on the to do list. And Devishark Cape just hates me.
