"Your" moves

Palafix

Pulling a Palafix means quitting the game, joining again a week later, and quitting the week after.

My healers send me tells to chainpull. I've started pulling multiple packs at once in BT.

I'm famous for going AFK midway through trash fights to get another Beer. And still holding aggro. And I have to leave the raid by 9pm to get to the pub!

On my guild forums we have a smiley for :thalus:

Both my brother and I are known for running blindly into rooms full of mobs. This is fine for me, as I'm a tank. My brother, on the other hand, plays a shadow priest...

Long story short: if he doesn't die in a fight, we consider our guild to have outgeared it. If he does die, the fight is a success. Generally I have to put my back to a wall and press every button I have in these situations.

If you wanted to talk more "signature moves":
Getting warrior OT to charge the groups in the khara ballroom so that I can get wings/wrath off uninterrupted. Once my guild grasped the concept, it made these fights effortless. Warriors make good meatshields Smile

Telling casters to start casting whenever cos I knew AS was on a shorter cast timer (this especially goes for stuff like sheep to keep em away from cons)

Only thing I did when I was about to do something stupid was turn to my healer friend (who often encouraged said stupidity) and /grin.

Oh man. There's so many to choose from.

You're "Pulling a Lore" if...

...you BoP another tank

...you miss a repair bot because you were too busy talking (bonus points if part of your talking includes telling people to repair)

...you disconnect at the worst possible time of the fight (bonus points if you're in Shattrath when you log back in) - I did this on Felmyst like 4 times in one night

...you've only missed like two mobs ever

...you break every sheep around you (the exact phrase is "Lore's consecratin' barnyards again")

I'm sure I'm forgetting some too. I'm actually really really bad at this game.

Most of the time I am refered as just "B".

Things to be mentioned:

1. KZ progression runs after Curator - some baby Curators pulls. My stll wearing MT gear -> several dodges -> mage got pasted. While explaining the unlucky chain of events, i.e. the 5 dodges in a row I mistyped the word so now all know that:
"...fofges are bad for DPS health, B said!"

2. KZ farming (few months later) - solotanking Wizard of OZ. Hitted Strawman, Tiger and Tinhead, Warlock started to do his job, mage got pasted. DC ftl....but NO. With really careful DPS the group was able to kill them all while I was still tanking. (Wife was playing on her SP next to me).
From then on when I go DC the RL just informs everyone :"B off reduce dmg till hes back!AND keep B up!"

3. Healers' test for starting trial in guild - 34 mins Shattered Halls heroic run - 14 mins till first boss, 20 mins for all else. If the applicant healer can handle it he can start his trial.

BT trashes
B: "OOps sry puled 2 extra grops"
Healer: "$%$*&^*&"
...after 3 mins......
Mage : "well thats faster anyway"

We have a thing in my guild called "the arjuna effect", meaning basically that people have gotten used to me tanking so that a warrior or another pally is tanking, they just go 110% all out from the moment the pull is made!

ofc, it works with me, but...not so well when there is someone else tanking...

this effect has been the cause of many many whipes even on simple bosses, hehe

AoE tanking Moroes is "Crazy Solina Style".

Having 3 roughly interchangable well-geared 70's covering all possible group roles is "reaching Solina status".

Solo-tanking the Akil'Zon gauntlet, because the Warrior OT d/c'ed as we pulled, I shouted "All get in my Melee Range, all healers focus on me"

I progresses (as usual) by slowly backing up to the top off the hill, tanking the warriors the guard and the eagles, Mage pulled the tempest, I taunted it off him.

Gauntlet done in one single try.

Warior came back online in time to tank Akil'Zon and I switched to healing/idling gear. And again no Amani Punisher for poor ol' me.

Doing a Vico for me means, raidleading a random gruul run, and then always ALWAYS dieing on gruul while the druid OT gets to tank the encounter through while all rogues die Very Happy

Targonis

When forming ZA groups my guild no longer asks for a prot pally, or regular groups any tank for that matter it's now:

"We need a Targonis and a few DPS to run X"
