ATTN: People using huge animated GIF avatars.

Stop it. Just because you can link to a 50 megabyte animated GIF of Back to the Future, parts I II AND III for your avatar does not mean you should.

Stop abusing the avatar auto-resize feature on this board.

If your desired avatar is more than a couple hundred k, you should not be using it.

My avatar, for example, is 20k.
This "avatar" is 4 megabytes, aka 4096k.

It was part of a fan movie called haloid. Master chief versus Samus. Was a lot of fun.

Nah, it's all a bunch of downloaded models in Poser. Don't get me wrong, animation is top notch; but there's no modeling involved.
I believe he did use some Maya in the DoA FF one, but that was also mostly Poser.

FWIW though, on topic, huge GIFs fall under the same common sense rules as the NSFW avatars recently - if they're so big (or pornographic) as to be ridiculous, mods will PM you to change them. Everything that remains, if it's too big for you personally to handle (or too risque for you to handle) right-click them in firefox and block them individually, or disable avatars.

We can't check each avatar sizes before opening the thread. Browsers keep them in cache but depends on...lots of thing
