open to comments but basically:

3/5 WE over precision because its actually more +hit (3.1 vice 3 plus the additional anti defense)

3/3 imp sotc for threat

no spell warding since most of our tanking is done anti melee anyway

no kings because we usually have 3-5 pallies in raid and i usually buff sanc and salv

been thinking about switching to this spec and trying it out

For all the reasons you mentioned it sounds good.

Do you use kings in 5 or 10mans anymore? You may miss that and could drop a point from somewhere to pick it back up if that is the case.

pretty much the only person i put kings on in a 5 or 10 man if im the only pally is myself and i could pretty much just put sanc instead

Don't put 3 points into Imp SoTC. That's 3 talent points for +29 spell damage. Not a worthy increase in my opinion.

if i move the points into precision instead would that mean that then my lvl 73 miss rate would go from 5.9 to 2.9 or would it and WE not stack directly? does anyone have any math on this?

i think what ill do tonight is go 46/12 and leave 3 points free and then after the raid see what my miss rate was with 3/5 WE versus 3/3 precision, then try putting 3/3 into precision for tomorrow with 3/5 WE

ya, im probably going to go with that 49/12, but right now im 46/12 minus the 3/3 precision, so i can do a straight up comparison between 3/3 precision and 3/5 WE, then ill test tomorrow night with both

Bluerage I strongly reccomend that you use Wow Web Stats. Try and get in 12 hours worth of presence with WE, then the same with Precision, then the same with neither. That amounts to about 3 weeks worth of raiding.

After that, you'll be able to make your own decision on the matter.

ya, im using wws, but i was just gonna go short data spurts, ie one night for each, to see if theres any noticeable difference, not too worried about the nickels and dimes of exact numbers, just trying to get a rough cross section of how they do

ok, ill update this tomorrow after tonights raid with my final set but here it is so far

monday: 3/3 precision 0/5 WE
trash mob miss: 11%
boss miss: 12-13%

tuesday: 0/3 precision 3/5 WE
trash mob miss: 15%
boss miss: ~10%

wednesday: 3/3 precision 3/5 WE
trash mob miss: 9.8%
boss miss: 10%

edited to add wednesday's data, the test definitely seems inconclusive and if i was a more patient man id do what mort suggested and do each test over several raids but for the most part i seem to miss less with WE and precision than with only one of the two so thats good enough for me.
