I want to kill my project manager and my fellow developers
UGH! By the end of December we received a new project to make. They planned it as an extension or an already existing, successful and complete project.
Guess what, by the beginning of January, we found out it had to be done from scratch.
The deadline? Untouched.
The manager? Covered it to the clients.
Results? 8 months worth of code being done in 2.
Today we *have* to release a new version of it, and people's still committing stupid mistakes, half of the core isn't ready and now I'm responsible for a significative chunk of shit to make, and haven't tested everything I already had, because one of the new guys doesn't have a f** clue on how the framework we use works!
AARRGH
I need to hit something capable of screaming in pain with a heavy blunt object.
Ideas?

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you,
'The internet, taking regional dialects and making them ambiguous since its conception!'
Worry not snake, am sure all will get better eventually.

been there, dealt with that... thats why i ask for everything in email now, and never delete them. don't let em walk all over you. when it comes to crunch time, having proof of these changes is vital to CYA. project staff will promise the world and not even think to ask you how long it will take.
i had a similar occurrence yesterday. a project i thought was done sprung back to life because the group i handed my part off to didn't do their job. they pretty much told me what i gave them was crap and our client wasn't happy so i needed to fix it and quick. the only problem was, i had no way of doing what they wanted me to do... heck they were supposed to be the specialists in that area. my manager volunteered to make them aware of that, which he did and that made things better for me lol... i don't know how they are getting along.

DOn't expect me to make sense >.> I just ran the scripts again and it started to work, so i'm happier than before, but i'm still upset <.<
This is one of the few moments where I'm glad I tend to have "developer epiphanies" after days of slow progress. At least I should be done with it.
