In an LFR run on Gates of Ret this weekend with my 'lock alt. We were re-buffing and getting ready for the twin Shaman fight when the RL asked for a rogue or a hunter to go inside the throne room and reset them to outside. Another warlock says, "I'll do it", puts an SS on himself, runs in and starts the fight, dies and then resurrects himself.
I suggested that he had now wasted a CR for absolutely no reason whatsoever as we had a couple of rogues and a few hunters who could have done the same thing without a waste of such an important resource. His reply was pure genius, "Doesn't matter. I never, ever use SS on anyone else anyway."

Well, most of his early career was focused on helping the poor and disenfranchised, and he's never been known to bother much with marriage or abortions problems, probably due to his homeland being fairly doctrinal in its Catholicism. He probably sees that as something secondary.

Gotta admit, the idea of seeing the Church reaffirming her position as protector of the weak is something I can tip my hat to.
When that day comes, seek all the light and wonder of this world, and fight.

That's just liberal commie talk!

I still think he will get killed. Such person cannot be a pope in today's church.

Why do I have the feeling that American Dioceses will try to revolt and form a splinter group and separate themselves from the Bishop of Rome.

Are we really at a point where people have to give a pope praise for not being a dork?

Considering that Catholics in the US are complaining he's too socialist and liberal? Yes.

Considering the fact that there are 78.2 million[1] Catholics in the US I would be very surprised if you COULDN'T find some Catholics who thought Francis (Benedict XVI, John Paul I/II ... Peter) is/was too socialist/liberal/conservative/capitalist/communist/democratic/republican...insert random character trait...

Francis is popular in the non catholic media ATM, Francis bashing is going to be good controversy and the fact that the catholics don't want to 'move with the times' plays into a lot of established stereotypes. Stick a bit of America bashing in there and this is guaranteed to get some play.

However the percentage of Catholics that actually go off an create a new church or join a different one because they don't like the Pope is and has been quite low... otherwise there wouldn't be over a billion of us left.

I remember hearing in a recent statement that he said he "Isn't marxist, but isn't offended at the title" or something along those lines.

I honestly haven't heard anything but praise for the guy, however.

He said he isn't a marxist, but because he has quite a few good friends that are marxist he isn't offended by that label.

I'm not catholic, nor even Christian, but I like Francis, a lot.
I also liked JP2 - Benedict, I didn't really hear so much from, but what I heard he wasn't a pope I would like to see at the helm - Francis seems to focus more on the "christian message" (boiling it down "God is good") rather than the old testamental message that too many vocal christians keep spouting.
(Having been taught in both sunday school and secularly about christianity and religion, I don't get teh old testamental christians, they seem to have not understood, at all, what Jesus (supposedly*) did by dying on the cross.

* Only adding supposedly because he only did it if you believe so, if you don't then he obviously didn't.
