BronyCon in Baltimore this weekend. I should go protest that they're doing typical male nerd power tripping who are stealing a thing from women to make it all about themselves.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I saw some people on my way into work this morning who I assume were headed there. My bartender friends have been bitching about what poor tippers the attendees are.

If you go to Youtube and type in a pony's name, in addition to searching for it, it will also change the color of the top bar to that pony's color.

I heard the humor is pretty much the same as the show -- the problem is getting past the idea of them being human in an alternate dimension AND in high school. Specially seeing how they all seem to be actually older in the series. You know, AJ owns a farm, Rarity is an Equestria renowned designer, and things like that.

Now make an HBO show out of MLP, with real actors portraying grown ups with the respective personalities and their lives in the New York area.
I'll allow some sci-fi/fantasy, if you want to take it down the Heroes road.

Inb4 "already been done".

Regarding EQG, just watch it with the same open mind you watch the show itself with. If you don't go in intending to hate it, you probably won't come out that way.

From my perspective on it, it was more or less an extra length, average episode. Not as good as some of them, but not nearly as bad as the few stinkers. Plus I got to see it in a theater full of fans (turns out that even fly-over country has bronies), which actually was a better experience than you might think.
