I hate to sound like a broken, completely incorrect record but holy shit this might just be the year.
Well, g'luck to the pirates, I mean it... I remember when they were decent... in the days of bobby bonilla.
The Mets paid Bobby Bonilla 1.1 million dollars on July 1st
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Yeah well... Bobby Bonilla's agent was smart.

heh, I was wondering if you were going to comment on that after last year's painful finish...
Don't freaking jinx it this year, OK?

Orioles trade two disappointing pitchers for a decent Cubs starter and a third string catcher. If they get one or two more winds that might be enough to capture the AL East.

Aparently, there are five teams that are after greg oden. I guess they dont have enough depth in their disabled list.

That's axiomatic. If god didn't hate Cleveland, he wouldn't have put it in Cleveland.
Oh. He doesn't hate us as much a Detroit.
Or Russia
But to say that Browns fans are.... worried, would be an understatement at this point.

I'm really liking janowicz' style -- he seems to approach the net more than other players. Still not pure Serve and Volley, but I'll take it.
Seeing him Ace murray is just icing on top.

Murray has over twice as many aces though. Heck, the last 4 games he hardly dropped any points at all.
edit: I told you he'd win

Apparently, Dwight Howard has picked Houston to be the next city where he will be unhappy.

An epic match happening on Centre Court right now, the first set alone took an hour, with the average game being 5 minutes long.

Re: All about sports
I can't believe Murray is winning 2 sets to zero.
More amazing, he has broken Djokovic 5 times.
Wonder if Djokovic is just too exhausted from the Del Potro match. I mean, Djokovic with 4 double faults, and going out constantly.

Well, Murray won it in straight sets (on the 4th deuce after 3 championship points).

Yeah well... if someone stabs and kills a loved one in front of me, I think its gonna be very hard to stop me from beating the living shit, and possibly kill, of the attacker.

I find soccer to be the equivalent of 22 headless chickens running around in a yard.

Yeah, and football in the back streets of one of the poorest and most violent areas of Brazil is exactly the same as in a 30k-100k seater stadium in a major European city...

Soccer fans are violent. Amateur soccer players are just soccer fans who happen to be on the pitch.
Dismemberment is taking it to a new level though. But at that point it had gone beyond the game.
Even though football (soccer) is not a matter of life or death, but something far more important. Sigh.

Yeah, you can't really blame this on the sport. I remember reading this yesterday thinking that there had to be more to the story (USA Today only had a pretty short blurb about it), but even if there isn't, it's not really the fault of the sport.
Why the heck would a referee have a knife on him during the game?
