Anyone two tanking this? I have two tanks who cant/wont offspec blood and guardian. No warlock portal/healthstones either, only one roar... making me nervous. How tight is the window for only one windstorm? We've downed H Jinrokh Tortos and Ji Kun, is this around that difficulty level? Hope two tanks will ease the incoming damage during P4 but our dps is gonna have to step it up. Any other input for which to kill first between Roshak/fire and Damren/Shied?

Anyone two tanking use tanks for soaking unleashed flame in both ranged groups?

The only thing that will actually ease incoming damage during the last phase is to have MORE dps and to kill things faster. Taking out the Lightning debuff and the Unleashed Flames will reduce the damage on the raid significantly; having them up for 10 more seconds will drain your mana.

The window for one Windstorm should be pretty easy; as long as you have everyone alive. Pretty much every time we don't meet that is because someone got caught in a Tornado and I had to spend 10 seconds running across to res their corpse and come back etc. Remember that stuff like 3 min cd's will be available for use on
- Ro'shak
- Quet'zal
- The 3 dogs at once phase

as long as your guys don't die in the windstorm, you can do 5. but probably much easier to just bring a warlock alt, dps requirements aren't that high and with a warlock having 2 windstorms is no real issue.

Thanks for the tips fellas. Everyone using three groups? We had three melee so we used tanks joining ranged groups. Saw some people went to seven stacks on the melee after the ranged ate three but that seems nuts? Windstorm wasnt too bad.

ideally you have a rogue and use no groups. we have the rogue stand as much in the mob as possible and the 2 tanks as well. so they trigger it and the rogue cloaks after the 4th and again when CD comes off. tanks can easily go up to 12-14 stacks. there's no other fire dmg, so it doesn't matter. soaking with range is just insanely messy with spears and lightning debuffs.

approximately as often as every Unleashed Flame, by our logs usually it goes 0 Energy --> 10 Energy (Inferno) --> 30 Energy (Unleashed) --> 0 Energy, repeating, so Inferno hits ~2-4 seconds after Unleashed Flame.

Now while that may not be extremely threatening in general, it's something your healers will want to be on the ball about when it comes to dealing with 14-stacks.

I think limiting him to one Windstorm might reduce the amount of Ignite Cyclones he can do in the last phase. I'm not sure about that, but it seemed like there were fewer tornadoes left active after one storm than there are after the second. Burning Blast from these cyclones is actually the majority of raid damage in the last phase, at 30k per 2 second tick per cyclone.

Our log (1 storm) shows the first Ignite at 22:20:28 and the second at 22:21:08, but never a third; the boss dies at 22:24:00. DTPS peaks at 450k.
These guys (2 storms) had to deal with worse; they had the first Ignite at 23:30:10, the second at 23:30:50, a third at 23:31:39, and no fourth with the boss dead at 23:33:48. DTPS peaks at 607k (ouch!).

Nice find PsiVen, i compared your logs to ours and found the same pattern, we has 2 Wind Storms and took 600k DTPS in the final phase.
