I dont know how far this got out in the outside world, but for the new king in Holland, some strange government installed company figured it would be a great idea to have all the people in Holland sing a song to the new king. All at the same time. See where this is going? ^^
Last friday the song was released after it was made by soms "famous" producer and some singers. Saturday morning, 20k people signed a petition against it because it was simply to bad. Saturday night, ~100k people signed. Sunday morning, the producer rage quitted the idea. Somehow this just makes me smile... ^^

some of the folks I met in WOW, my wife and I decided to start an online D&D game (pen & paper done remotely, not D&D online). Mostly because we all kinda missed actual RP, and because raiding most certainly ain't happening.
"Former" raid leader's comment: "Man, Mists was so bad it drove us to pen and paper."

Re: Post Your Amusements!
As we all know by now, I work in online sales.
I sell a small piece of plastic that goes on lawnmowers on ebay. There was another seller who them on ebay for about 16 bucks a piece + shipping. Well, I was told to make sure I beat the prices of other sellers.
We sell the part in the store for 2 bucks.
So I listed it on ebay for 10, with free shipping. It's light. It'll go first class anywhere in the US. That means, 4 bucks tops shipping, even if I send it to Alaska or Hawaii.
Seller who sells it for 16 contacts me, unhappy that I'm beating his price. I tell him, that if he would like, I would sell them all to him in one bulk deal for 5 bucks a piece shipping included. I warn him, I have a very large quantity of them. He says he would be interested. So I go do a ballpark count on them, and realize I'm sitting with somewhere between 2 and 3 thousand of them, and that's after we threw away half of what we had. I get back to him with the ballpark count, and tell him that I would need to actually have someone count them to make sure, but I know that each skid is 4'x4', with a 4' tall box on it, and that there are 20 per layer, and I'm guessing 25 layers deep.
So. 20 X 25 500 per skid, and I can see 6 skids. Not all of them are stacked the same height.
Now, I'm a liar, and a thief.
Fine. I sent him a picture of the row of them, and said if he was interested in them, we could talk price, and find something that we could both be happy with.
Apparently, he doesn't want to talk to me anymore.

I gave some technobabble explanation on why a user lost a word document, long story short, it was the users fault.
User goes "sounds legit"
Now i wonder if i got trolled.

That's why I set up two daily backups of mine while I was working on it. One on-site and one off-site.

Re: Post Your Amusements!
Heard a term on a podcast today that might solve the casual-hardcore debate.
Softcore.
Basically, they described softcore raiding as someone who raids on a casual/restricted schedule, but still knows what they are doing and comes gemmed/chanted, knows the tools of the class to a reasonable level, and has all the proper addons and such (DBM, etc). The softcore raider might not play the optimal spec, but instead play they one they know and love (Arcane vs Fire vs Frost, etc).
So you would have hardcore - softcore - casual. The hardcore is of course pushing serious progression, the softcore might be pushing progression as well on a limited schedule, but could still be mostly limited to LFR due to RL restrictions, and the casual, well... we know what's on the shallow end in the water wings.
So.. anyone here would at least be softcore (except for those old farts in the lawnchairs with the rocksalt...).

We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.
