Brekkie:Tanks are like shitty DPS. And healers are like REALLY distracted DPS
Amirya:Why yes, your penis is longer than his because you hit 30k dps in the first 10 seconds. But guess what? That raid boss has a dick bigger than your ego.
Flex:I don't make mistakes. I execute carefully planned strategic group wipes.
Levie:(in /g) It's weird, I have a collar and I dont know where I got it from, Worgen are kinky!
Levie:Drunk Lev goes and does what he pleases just to annoy sober Lev.
Sagara:You see, you need to *spread* the bun before you insert the hot dog.

Decided to make some mac and tuna today, boiling the pasta I realize I'm out of milk
quick thinking, take some heavy whipping cream, dilute it 1:5 with water. bam. Creamiest mac and tuna I've ever had. Throw some hotsauce on that and it's a white trash delicacy.
Also finaly got my cat's edge from archi today.
woot.

Well Cream is also milk (just the very fattiest part) - so milk does simply get diluted (or concentrated if low quality) to hit the assigned fat percentages (well really there is a bit more to it than that, skimmed milk is, for example, skimmed, not diluted, but in efffect its the same - changing the ratio of water content to fat content.

Re: Post Your Successes!
just under 4 hr raid, cleared MSV complete one shot, one shot both the first 2 bosses in HoF, and downed Garalon the first time in just 3 pulls (after i gave the tanks some pointers about the first corner when kiting)
got 2 pulls in on windlord but people had to go as it was getting late..ended up getting him to 15%, and got some pointers for next week
need to talk to the rest of the officers about possibly skipping MSV and working on just HoF next week..i think it will come down to how many people still have upgrades from there
TL:DR - one shot all of our previous kills, got our first garalon kill with just 3 pulls, and got windlord to 15% in 2 pulls

Yeah, you're past the biggest block now. Wind Lord's easy, Amber Shaper is a bit annoying and the rest is simple at heart.
When that day comes, seek all the light and wonder of this world, and fight.

Really? I thought Amber Shaper and Empress were quite the step up from Garalon.

Amber shaper is quite a joke assuming people understand constructs, and Empress is essentially a healer check:)

Yeah, Amber Shaper is individual responsibility, but to a lesser extend than Elegon (just those stupid THWOMPS), and Empress felt like a breeze if your tank can hold the adds (I used to keep HA to open up that phase and cut the damage intake in half).

You can use HA on the pull to do more damage and it will be ready about 15 seconds before the phase change. Avenging Wrath on the pull makes it be available about 20-30 seconds into the adds phase.

Re: Post Your Successes!
So since raiding doesn't seem to be happening for me, and I'm dailied out after finishing up the IoT, I decided to roll a brewmaster monk.
now lvl 33, just finished soloing all of gnomer, and learned way more over the 5 or so levels I earned in there than I learned in the couple LFD runs in the same place. I may start trying to solo instances just because it's fun and a way to earn some XP between 'interesting' zones. I figure at some point it won't work anymore, but what the heck.
Next up: scarlet halls, I think.

You don't even need to kill Nalak.

I continue to be impressed with my brewmaster alt while leveling: solo'd the arena in Zul Drak at level 76-77 last night without breaking a sweat. The shield from guard just seems so powerful. It makes me wish I'd tried the Nagrand one on level, although I'd been deterred from that after my DK and bear had been unceremoniously splattered trying it.

I did Nagrand Ring of Blood on my Monk, think I only had trouble on one of the fights, rest weren't bad. Had to make use of all my tools though, placing 3 Healing Spheres before the pull for example, sometimes just plain running away until I could heal.

Guard (like all absorbs effects) is op at lower level.
Its effectivenes decreases greatly past level 80 when it'll start to barely absorb 30k or so without any vengeance.

Re: Post Your Successes!
That's with the glyph
Without glyph it absorbs all sort of damage.
The glyph is essentially a raiding glyph (with debated utility, some people like it, some don't)
I also meant "past level 80", why did i write 30 >_>

Re: Post Your Successes!
Lei Shen dead in LFR with only 4 stacks of determination. That's a success, right?
It was somewhat funny how it went. The last wipe had resulted in most of the raid leaving, so after waiting for new people (one of whom stepped up to give the fight instructions, thank god), we were just doing a practice run to give the fresh folks a look at the fight and instead of practice it turned into the kill.
Seeing him go down was the most "Hell yeah!" experience I've had in WoW in a while.

Thanks - I was beginning to suspect (fear) that.
At the moment (sub-80), I've been playing my brewmaster like a hybrid disc priest/blood DK - using guard, after a bit of vengeance, to provide a shield that lasts pretty much throughout its duration. Even on those Zul Drak arena bosses.
However, the raiding guides talk of guard more as a mini-cooldown to absorb a bit of damage (sort of like Divine Protection) than a semi-permanent shield.
Using a vengeance pumped Guard to survive Oondasta's Frill Blasts sounds very handy though (but we can also do that with glyphed Divine Protection).
