You should definitely look to kill Sul before he empowers. You should be able to tank Sul next to Malakk and directly DPS Sul for at least 60% of Malakk's empower, cleaving down Malakk. Assuming the empower then switches to Mar'li you can repeat this process.

On both normal and heroic the tactic involves killing Sul before he empowers since the sand adds are a pain.

gotcha~

but how do you handle that? tank swap on frost while sul is taken to marlii?

i normally tank frost and sul, the ot takes frost right before i get stunned, or as i get stunned.

either interrupt Sul and take him to Mar'li or visa versa.

There's no reason to get stunned by Malakk, that's a DPS loss you could clearly do without.

Swapping Malakk at like 11 stacks is good enough to not have either tank get stunned. It's a pain to both you and the healers.

You can easily just move Malakk and Sul both to Mar'li once she's empowered, you just have to be on the ball to get them both away once it ends.

If you do end up with sandlings I recommend the mar'li tank tanks frost king while you deal with sandlings and Sul. Just keep moving with the adds as any that die will drop their horrible puddles. If you think the DPS can get Sul down before the second storm then focus DPS on that and clean up adds afterwards.

We found the first loa spirit a good guide for when to swap our DPS to the frost king.

Hand of Freedom & the Holy Wrath glyph are useful if tanking the sandlings is inevitable.
