Same here - and this time we've finally learned our lesson on pay deductions, so next year shouldn't hurt so bad.

Re: Post Your Successes!
been a long while since I got any money back for taxes, but we still file them as early as possible each year.
I think this year as a couple we got like 120 back from state/fed combined. Guess we're doing our deductions right if we neither owe, nor are owed.
Still, I miss the little bonus I used to get around this time of year when I was younger.

For the last... two years (three years?) we've been getting about a grand back. Invis had school credits this year that I was able to absorb (and give me credit) and last year he showed up as my dependent due to lower income. Gives me a huugggge tax break. Prior to that I was paying an additional $100 or so a year once I left school. Nothing major, but like you're saying Chunes, when I was in university I was getting back about 2-3k per year in taxes which was a lovely bonus!

we've been the opposite for a couple years: basically somehow monkeyed up our deductions (and we changed brackets) and ended up needing to come up with a fat wad of cash.
Ideally, yeah, you'd get nothing back nor owe anything (that way you aren't giving the government an interest free loan, nor taking one out from them, at least if I recall the arguments correctly). Though some come to think of it more like time-shifting their pay (or even as 'free money') and ending up with this big payout of money that would have been theirs in the first place (how tax refund time ends up generating sales, etc.).
so I'd rather be on the end of recieving a small refund than owing, just from a budgeting perspective.

I was really hoping for more back this year since my SO is back in school. Alas, I got a pretty good raise this last year changing jobs so I'm pretty sure I changed brackets.
Oh well. I voted for the guy that's not opposed to raising taxes so I can't bitch about paying them

Horridon is essentially about not standing in shit and focusing mobs instead of not falling to the temptation to just aoe everything.

My raid leading expertise when we first got to Horridon: "don't stand in crap and interrupt mobs".

Baked Oatmeal: Amish for 'Best bread product evar!'
(picked this stuff up at a booth at Eastern Market, the big food market in Detroit... am going to try not to eat it all myself.)
The best I can do is a rough description: imagine a really dark brown crumble cake, but with a courser texture. It's about as heavy as banana/pumpkin/etc. bread usually is.

Not really. Essentially all doors have 1 important mob to focus down, a specific skill to care about (move out of, or interrupt), and one or two trash mobs that should be just cleaved/dotted to death and generally ignored when main mobs are up.
Other than that, all 4 doors are like "kill the big mob, bring the dinomancer to 50%, click orb, finish all mobs, move to next door, repeat".
Eventually you have to move from the frontal/back aoe from Horridon, but there's plenty of time, small area and huge warning from any boss addon.
The last 2 phases in normal mode are essentially free loots.
Well ok you tecnically have to do tank swaps too, but if tanks haven't learned to taunt at this point of the game it's quite bad.

We're long past that at this point anyway now and we don't tank swap anyway (go go being a paladin!).

Isn't what you just said quite a bit more than "don't stand in stuff, and interrupt"?

Mine !

And if I may complain a bit, I was hoping to get the Obsidian blade along the way but it hasn't dropped.

Is there any advantage in not tank swapping? I guess the add tank has a bit more time on the adds? I tank with a warrior and think he might be a bit better at picking up the adds.
Also, can you use blessing of protection on yourself to clear the debuff? I've seen a cancelaura macro for divine shield, but not for blessing of protection - which makes me wonder if it can be used on yourself or if you need a palahealer.

Blessing of Protection and Divine Shield both work. With Clemency you should be able to remove all of the debuff stacks by yourself (Bubble, HoP, HoP, Bubble, HoP to clear the debuff after the Warlord dies)
