Oh yes.
It probably had tons of flaws, plotholes and inconsistencies that I haven't noticed on my first reading, but frankly, I don't care. It was still awesome.

Having finished the Rifters trilogy, I started to read comics, more specifically Transformers: More than meets the Eye
I had my doubts at first seeing how it has a character I hate with all my guts (Poochie, I mean Drift) but damn, the writing is so good they managed to salvage him from the scrappy heap.

Yea, there's a few things I'm still trying to mull over to figure out, but overall, it was a decent ending.

Last WoT book I read was Knife of Dreams (which was an improvement on earlier books, but seemed rushed). I'm still not sure how interested I am in finishing the series.

I guess Knife of Dreams can be called rushed when you compare it to drek light Crossroads of Twilight. I mean, stuff actually happened in that book.

I mean it felt rushed even without that context. There were some scenes, particularly action ones, where things just happened, quickly, and with little sense of import. On the other hand, it was a big improvement, and the first book in a long time where it was possible to like Egwene.

Hmm, could be true. The first time I read it I was just so happy that it wasn't just another Crossroads, and the second time I read The Gathering Storm right after.
Man, how Jordan ever managed to convince himself that it was just "one more book" when he died I'll never understand.

She becomes even better in the next one, particularly near the ending. And as for the final book... in my opinion, she gets the single most badass scene in it (Lan's moment comes close, though).

Halfway thru the first book in the millenium trilogy... the mystery is good, but larsson's prose annoys me at times....
