Trouble remembering what that gem is called again?
I threw this together today and thought some of you might find it useful too:
Newsom's Gem Finder
It tries to be as efficient as possible in finding out the name of a gem with a specific stat combination. What do you guys think?

Very nice - I have often wondered about Blizzards decision to try and come up with an essentially meaningless name for each of the one hundred or so stat combinations.
Now, if we could just mod your logic into an overlay of the JC interface in game

Are there still gem combinations missing? I noticed neither version of the Nimble type shows up (hit/dodge or the bugged hit/stam).
I like it though. Very easy interface!

Ah, right. Both hit and stamina are flagges as blue in the database so it doesn't show up in the list if you select either of them. I might do a temporary workaround until 5.2 hits live.
Edit: fixed, hit and stamina now show up in the second stat row if you select either of them. I also made it so that only combinations that actually exist will show up as a second stat.

Thanks!
Here is the remaining "nimble" bug I found:
yellow socket - This is tricky. Neither hit nor stamina is a yellow stat, but you typically get the hit/stam gem to fill a yellow socket since it is a green gem. Can't do that currently. I am not sure how you would need to approach it though, cause only the hit/stam combination are available so if you put the "hit" stat or the "Stam" stat as a yellow choice it might look weird (well maybe a note next to it or something).
