This is what i think... Wheel of time still had some actions even if they were irrelevant for the series... ASoIaF not so much?
I'd be a lot happier of Jordan wrote book 6, and then didn't write anything between 1996 and 2995, at which time he released one book that would have been enough for what was in book 7 to 10, and then Knife of Dreams.
As it stands now WoT is complete, but is deeply marred by the middle books. I prefer Martins version, and it would again have been better if he scrapped Feast and instead released the fourth book in 2010 when he finally managed to make the damn thing work without 5 year interludes and split books.

What you're not realising is that for the rest of the season all the sets will be made from painted cardboard.
