Re: Post Your Successes!
Had some trouble with the doggy's last night. First time we had the setup with chains, mines and purple puddles. After we got that organized we flew trough the next 2 bossess, whiped on 7% on our first try at Spirit Kings and proceeded to kill him 2 tries after that. Elgalon (and the trash before) proved some difficulty to get right, but we`ll go for that one next time

New mount, new Tabbard, new Title, 3 new Enchanting recepies, a new trinket and a new ring. Getting exalted with Klaxxi and revered with Shado-pan on the same day makes nice lists ^^

Re: Post Your Successes!
We're one of those guilds still stuck in normal modes due to varying problems - so my successes are not nearly as impressive given where I feel we should be. But I'm happy to say that Empress is finally down as well as the first two in Terrace (for gated content that stuff is way too easy in there).
I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that we will actually get a chance to clear normal mode this tier. I've been in a panic since the beginning of December due to roster issues (resulting in many, many cancelled raids) and was highly concerned we'd never even finish normal before 5.2 is released.
I'm feeling a lot more confident and positive about our raid team now and it's feeling like a huge weight off my shoulders. /sigh of relief

Nice! Don't sweat, Lei Shi is really a Tank check (hint, bring Stam in ALL THE THINGS!) with a bit of DPS check. Sha's a tougher nut to crack, but nothing impossible.

We've actually had... well, one of our healers said one of the tanks had too much stam and was taking way too much damage (note, this was mentioned on Empress, not on Lei Shi), so with some rejigging we got more mastery out of their gear via gems and whatnot. Now you're saying it's the other way on Lei Shi. :/
We were getting rocked with the adds on Lei Shi. It was incredibly painful and we hadn't though they were going to be that much of a problem. Got a bit better once we actually started ccing two of them, but I was a bit surprised about how much everything was hitting for.

Re: Post Your Successes!
Lei Shi is something of an oddball gearing-wise, one tank with high stam is pretty nice to give some breathing room during the add phase. But he probably isn't worth re-gemming over. Maybe try and grab an extra stam trinket if the tank isn't rocking double stam.
I usually handle the adds, and it works pretty much O.K. even without CC - I just need to make sure I got 5 HoPo and enough abilities to shut them down (glyphed Holy Wrath is really nice) when things get rough.

You could always try three-tanking Lei Shi if you don't have the CC for the adds; it isn't like the Enrage is in any way tight. One tank for the adds, two for the boss.

It's the add tank that's dying, not the boss tank, IIRC.

If you only have a tank going up to 10 stacks during Protect instead of 20, that frees the healers up to look after the add tank a little better.

Re: Post Your Successes!
Or you divide the adds between two tanks, two for each. We usually don't hit above 16 stacks anyway. Also, THEIR swings are pure melee, so if you got one "add tank" he should be focusing on a more "general" gearing.
If CC works, so much the better, but don't forget they're also suceptible to stuns. Between FoJ, Glyphed HW and GLyphed Blinding Light, we have all the tools to keep them down for a little while. Add in one to two CD's every time and you're golden.

Not to mention the other 9 players in the raid
You can also use things like knock-backs over frost-traps to get them away from the tanks for a few seconds

Just wondering, anyone ever tried a kiting approach? The two tanks could easily swap if the big adds don't hit (much).
